Bro as soon as you opened a beer on the beach , I hadto pop one open an finished watching the vid. Been watching your journey for a few years now bro mean mahi out there. As a kiwi who’s been living in aus for the past few years, it’s hard to beat our homeland. The land and the sea providing quality at its highest. My misz is always watching makeup & girlflix on UA-cam . While I’m out here reminiscing on Ollie Craig and other dive brothers in our homeland. Stay safe and stay blessed brother 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿
Hey Jayden, Cheers for the feedback bro. Sure is an incredible piece of turf we have here! very grateful to be able to explore the places where I do, and to share it with guys like you to reminisce over is a cool feeling as I have lived over seas for a few years at a time and know the feeling! Back at you bro. Cheers, Ollie
Haha yeah can't rock down Sydney habour and do this 🤣 the freedom NZ has is second to none and it's not till your stuck out west Sydney looking at Parramatta River thinking fuk I should of done more while I lived in NZ awesome vlogs bro keep it up
Just started watching Ollie few weeks ago and will finish current playlists until done. Any other Aussie folks should watch? Completed B2B. Good luck Ollie. I am jealous. Not that I could take up this sport at my age. So beautiful footage! Best of luck “Mate” from the USA.
Great video mate. The best things in life are free! Like listening to the ocean and staring at a fire. I grew up in NZ and love the outdoors. I live in the UK now, so I don't get to dive for crays at the moment! But thanks for sharing your awesome adventures.
What, just one dive and crays, no way. I almost drowned myself trying to locate a cray the other day over here, up and down for well over an hour. Lucky you!!
it's awesome seeing this 2 year old video now in 2024 and then seeing your 2024 side by side. Rocking up with a full sized weber and a big massive camping chair, its so funny, love it. Intreresting to see how you changed your style to be more minimalistic in some regard. I couldn't believe you squeezing out an actually espresso there, but in your more recent videos just powdered instant coffee (which most coffee lovers would scoff at). But then, its all about figuring out your own priorities. Super interesting to watch the changes.
Being watching for a while now, and was so surprised to see you launch Next to our family batch, never thought there would be crays around. Will have to go have a look! Thanks for the great video!
Hey Ollie!!! 🥰🌅🥂🔥 I loved watching this video! Thank you! You are living the life I'm ready to adventure in ❤️ Just Amazing!!! Keep this up Happy new year! Welcome more adventures this 2023 🥂🌅
Such good content bro 👌. I grew up in West Auckland but now live in Western Australia and I'm always doing dive missions on my inflatable boat with my speargun it's such a good buzz and west Aus has so much to offer but I can't wait to come back to NZ and experience that again.
Cool as!! Not the worst outdoor activity to do in NZ!!one of your coolest content! Raw and inspiring! Ppl just wanna go outdoors with this video! Congrats to your new brand!! Cheers Ollie!!
Mate thats a hell of a trip. I used to do these trips to portjackson. That beer pop would have been satisfaction. Im grounded with kids for the next few years so have to live through you haha
Love the video's bro , U really inspired me to start spear fishing and i just got my first speargun and gear and cant wait to use it out on the water , your videos always entertain me and have watched heaps in the last couple weeks , love how ur so into the spear fishing and i think its great.
@@johnantonyhunt your sons been in touch re the mandel excursion think we headed that way early Jan. you be around to share the hot tub with post dive?
Im gonna be bias coz im from ahipara and the far north have the best everything shot kerry love watching clips from home even the dives out tauroa i miss but hopefully see you around there next visit home
I used to use a small waste mounted 250x250 catch bag which had elastic entrance. Nice and streamline for freediving.Tied a 20mm off cut of 100mm conduit for measuring. Easy as to measure on breathhold as if pass threw can just let go of it. Best shell i got from that harbour on the north side was 165mm.. Always were nice and fat thier. Ironicaly bigest shell wasnt bigest meat. I would hit first and last day of season as a tradition for years. Dont freedive anymore after long time doing it every week. Got bored and lost interest. Speared a 21.6lb snapz and felt liked a pinnacle and after that was now what. Enjoy watching you full of energy on cool missions. Makes me feel old haha
Hey mate, Shit that's a big scallop for there! Definitely bigger and more healthier Scallops on that side for some reason, obviously food and currents helping out perhaps. Yes, it's not the most exiting diving scallops, I only bother if nice and shallow like this spot. Just need to look for bigger things to keep that interest!! maybe a marlin next?? haha. Nah, always an interesting time diving and the exercise sure beats a treadmill.
Mean video as always bro, out there doing it🙌 Couldnt help but notice the handsfree equalizing on the last scallop drops, any tips on making progress with it? I can't seem to get a strong enough push without holding my nose, extra hands in the water would be a handy thing to have, even on descent
Cheers bro appreciate it. Hey mate, I'm not an expert in that area, but just practice at home even with hand on nose. maybe doa minute or so each day it will help strengthen up those muscles in your ear canal. Look up Valsalva & Frenzel. They are the two techniques used for equalizing one might work better than other for you.
Nice one Ollie wish we could get scallops here in nelson/okiwi bay but we have had a ban for about 5 or 6 years now so my dredge just sits in the corner of garage in the mean time ,but good on you mate ,cheers shaneo , nelson 😊🍺
Bugger, I imagine we will see more and more bans on seafood as numbers decline unless they have a major shakeup with the commercial side/ and councils actually do their job and monitor sediment run off from big subdivisions/ developments and pollution in general. Nz is in a much worse state than people realise. We can definitely turn stuff around just need a better plan
