Mechele Romanchock, Kevin Adams and Maria Planansky, Alfred University Librarians, will present on an increasing trend in the United States: book bans. The presentation will demystify what exactly books bans are, provide a current context for book challenges and book bans, and explore the social, political, and lived implications for book challenges in the United States. The presentation will highlight how book challenges are handled by the AU Libraries.
