Pray for the seattube when a stone goes round the tyre gets lodged on the top of the front mech clamp 😬 Saying that - it would have to have avoided getting jammed under the brake first! Hope you are lining up for the start on this bike in 2022! 👍
Nice setup...except for the brake cables routed in front of the handlebar. It puts unnecessary strain on the front brake cable being bent forward, instead of naturally arcing down inempeded to the caliper which allows a more smoother front brake actuation. The rear brake cable also has a similar kink happening at the lever as the handlebars pushes the cable forward.
That's a great set up for the hills, I used a mountain bike triple front when I've ridden the Eroica UK. Feels like cheating, but helpful over the 100 miles.

Dry weather setup. Lots of trouble if it is wet.

It has been pushed back to September 2020. I’m hoping that the ride will be on!

I’m hoping to do Eroica California 2021. I plan on using compact gearing (50/34 x 13/28). Some Sugino cranksets have 110 BCD.
I hope the roads will be dry, otherwise you might get in trouble with those tight clearances. Good luck anyways!
