@@sheldonwright9071 I was an AE. I flew in a COD a few time when I was in the RAG. Didn’t care for it but it was better than riding the boat home.

I’ll bet you will years from now when you realize what an amazing adventure it was. It takes time for that to happen but I’m pretty sure it will. I was an enlisted aircrewman in VAW 124 forty eight years ago and I look back on those years at sea and really miss them. Eventually, it dawns on you that selling insurance or working in an office or doing construction or any other honorable job is fine for paying the bills but it’s not like the adventure of being 20 years old at sea on an aircraft carrier seeing things you’ll never see again. Impossible to explain to friends what it was like.
