I do hope Senegaleses really be alive to see all these projects come true. My concern people get frustrated and disappointed because of corruption and incompentece of the government.
We are seeing it, you didn't listen. Except for Akon City which is an individual project, the others launched by the government are either finished or started.
@@yapadqoi , This is my concern. Gorvernment's project can be suddenly stoped because of lack of money, corruption or politic issues or even when a new president is elected.
@@siquara100 You are right. I actually share your concerns a little bit but, from what I see right now, it's totally different from what government projects used to be. We still have a lot of corruption in the country and the president doesn't seem be able to fight it effectively but he is trying at least to move the country forward and we are seeing it. We see the results everywhere. The other day I saw him opening brand new ultramodern hospitals in two remote locations in the countryside(Kedougou and Kaffrine) where people can now have good health services. That's facts that everybody can see. Maybe we should at some point just be optimistic when we have reasons for that.

In my country we have the same problem, but the difference we have no excuse for such a social problems there are here because BRAZIL is not poor at all. So, I am totally impressed and mind -blown. Definitely sharing, subscribing and staying in touch with you guys. I will be in the know come time to execute some projects in my native Haiti in the near future.
Senegal is also partnering with DP world to build a 1 billion dollar port in Ndayane and is developing massive gas projects. btw I don't think Akon city will ever come to be.

Indeed I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. For exemple, to name a city in Senegal "Akon" which is a nickname originated from the time the guy was "A convict" (a criminal) .... that sucks. I hope the authorities will come to notice that a some point and require to change the name of the city in order to meet our values. I don't understand why the government accepted such a naming for a city that's gonna be a huge attraction around the world. Mind blowing.
