Couple celebrates 50 years of marriage at special Mass in Newark

Bob and Anne Wischusen, who live in Garwood and are long-time parishioners and volunteers at St. Helen in Westfield, commemorated their 50th wedding anniversary at Newark’s Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart on May 15, 2022. They were among 150 couples blessed by Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., archbishop of Newark. It was the first time the Golden Anniversary Mass was held since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Bob and Anne actually celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary on June 27, 2022.
