Awesome! Paul Olden, now the NY Yankees PA announcer, called this game for CBS. He would go on to do NY Jets games on the radio, then he went to the expansion Tampa Bay Devil Rays to announce games on radio with Charlie Slowes. His successor on Jets radio games? Future CBS announcer Ian Eagle.
Had to use Google to find that out. CBS probably only had this shown to the Buffalo and LA market that day. Did Paul do the whole season or just fill in? I believe Summerall was doing the US Open Tennis the next day thus the 49ers Giants game after this had Verne Lundquist with John Madden on the call.
Back in 1987 during the 1987 NFL season, Pete Weber, currently of the Nashville Predators play-by-play, would've filled-in for Tim Brant along with analyst Hank Stram.
This was the strangest game that I've seen for a player to get a record. If it wasn't for the big lead, James Lofton might not have gotten the record that day. In the 4th quarter, it was about getting him the all-time receiving yardage record. The Bills went to him way too much. The Rams were double teaming him. It was great that he got it. It was on a play that looked busted.
@ jean Paul muller do you have happen to have these two games from 1994 week 15 Minnesota Vikings at buffalo bills and 1994 Thanksgiving day games buffalo bills at Detroit lions by chance

Its too bad Chuck Knox didn't have the lineup with the Bills in 1980-82 that Marv Levy was afforded by GM Bill Polian. If he had the Bills would have won several Super Bowls that Levy never could

CBS sports used the Futura bold font from early 1992 until 1996.

The Rams were actually an improved football team in 1992 from their horrendous 1991 season, you wouldn’t notice though by watching this game.
@7:00 Put Steve Tasker in the HOF already.
They used that hit in his highlight videos. I don't know how Vernon Turner held on to the ball.
I'm pretty sure that hit is illegal today and the past 25 years.

At 59:45 that would be roughing the passer in today's NFL
It WAS at the end of the 1976 AFC divisional playoff in Oakland
It’s crash how those people are like 60 or in there 50s now
