I saw your vagabond awake interview, son i head on to see your channel, becuase you talked about your time in Mexico, i had being there in Mexico City, for a hyperbaric chamber treatment, of a vascular ulcer on my left ankle, becuase the us health insurance did not cover such a procedure, thank the good lord i'm cure from this ulcer, and you really spend your money properly over there, with some many places you can eat on the cheap, i don't know how is your place in Siquijor, as far as medical, centers, but it is a nice affordable place according to the interview, less than a $1000 a month, and you are not struggling nor suffering as other vloggers imply if you are not spending more than $1,500 a month over there, you can make it, just don't go around spending what you can't afford!!
Yes if you stay on budget. It is very affordable. Medical care here is cheap. Pacific life health insurance is the best. Prescriptions are cheap, and a basic vist to the docter is about $20. Siquijor doesn't have as many social places to go. I was lucky because i know a lot of people before i came to live here. Dan and Qiang were such a nice couple. I enjoyed spending time with them
Definitely has all the essentials for a comfortable residence. You live on such a beautiful island paradise. The Philipines offers a fantastic opportunity to live a simple life at affordable prices. The people are also wonderfull there. I hope to visit Siquijor this winter. It would be nice to meet up for lunch and get some pointers from you to more fully enjoy my trip.

Saving the rest is very wise ! - - - I'm looking myself for a similar arrangement over there - somewhere. I struggle with heat so I'm looking @ Tagaytay at the 2000 ft. + elevation an hour or so S. of the airport in Manila. Cost may be a bit higher but I have $1500 to work with. Google says 'a couple' can live their comfortably for $1000 / month in 2023 prices. I'm alone and not looking for expensive company ! - - - May eventually make a trip to Dumaguete to visit a couple U-Tubers. If so I may visit your island for a few days & get in touch. I'll need about $2,000 to furnish it to my liking..... flush toilet - hot water - fridge - mw - stove - ac - bed - table/chairs...... and I'll be a - '''happy camper''' - too !!! An hour S of Manila airport - in Trace Martires. My budget will allow me to travel - '''somewhere''' - every month (!) - using this as a home base. May come visit 'you' - once established ! > Take care.

If you attach velcro to a shower curtain you can put it over the windows for aircon, but you can remove it easily. Saves on Electric.

About 1 1/2 hours. If no fast boat was available. There is a hospital here for minor injuries, and some orthopedic care
