Bodily autonomy falls under liberty. Freedom requires bodily autonomy. I was raised a Catholic Republican but even I'm pro-choice in early pregnancy because embryos and young fetuses are neither viable nor sentient. Defending life that doesn't even care about itself is nonsensical. It would make infinitely more sense to protect life that actually has self-interest such as other already born animals.

The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Casey
are overruled; and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives. Game over. Time for Lawrence, and Obergefell

Who are "the people"?! Returning the right to the people would mean letting each person decide what is best for them -- not allowing a bunch of state legislators into people's private lives.

@@rheahirshman8754 That dog don't hunt. When Casey revisited Roe, very little of Roe’s reasoning was defended or preserved. But you will try because you have not followed the issue. Your leaders abandoned any reliance on a privacy right. Instead they grounded the abortion right entirely on the14th Amendment’s Due Process Clause and lost.

@@rheahirshman8754should we let the people decide whether to smother their 1 day old infant? Of course not. Unborn human beings deserve legal protection just like new born infants do. States now have the chance to give it

@@gopher7691An infant has bodily autonomy, an embryo/early fetus does not. So-called “late-term” abortions are 99.9% done to save the mother’s life or for fetal abnormalities. You decide what you want for your own body, other people will do the same.

Children have bodily autonomy. Abortion is the human right that provides pregnant women/people bodily autonomy. Women have always had access to abortion and always will, no matter what stupid bans are in place. Hundreds of international human rights groups have condemned the US for the abortion bans in some backward states, for good reason. Calling abortion “murder” is just misleading, sensational language meant to scare & shame women. Then pro-forced birth advocates have the nerve to point to some women’s guilt over abortion as “proof” that it harms women.

@@KatrinaDancer don’t be obtuse. It is legal to kill unborn human beings for convenience in many states. That is murder of children
