This broke my heart 😢. I really hope the keepers made sure they all got equal amount of treats! This is perfect example of nature biting lol. The first one was greedy...too greedy. Isn't there a way to give them their treat bags individually so no one just gets the not so tasty treats and left overs? I say it's gotta be fair and equal or no surprise treats for anyone. It kills me to see the ones that got shorted.
Quite honestly I think Christmas stockings for the orangutans are a stupid idea. Why not just say the real reason behind it? For the entertainment of the keepers, plain and simple. Otherwise they could just hand out or hide the treats.
So true. It's not like they can read their names on them. And it's definitely not possible that they only eat what's in their own sac. I'm surprised this didn't cause any fights. Primates are super greedy and mean when it comes to food. I say scrap the idea and just put extra food out for everyone in enrichment activities so they can forage (kind of).
@@missydee7674 omg shut up complaining. This was harmless, no different than putting out a big pile of leaves. Some will get more but everyone gets something. They're clearly not starving.
They wouldn’t survive, and since this species is VERY close to extinction that would not be an option. There is a very famous “orangutan school” that has has great success teaching orphaned/abandoned orangutans how to survive in their own, but without the knowledge passed down from their mother then they would almost certainly die. Some animals, when abandoned, simply can’t be released. It’s morally better to give them as good of a life as possible in captivity then to send them to their deaths. :/
What would YOU put in an orangutan treat bag?
Banana
An orangutan
Popcorn
Rubber snakes. 😁
100 pounds of dynamite
The one who looked in the empty bag and then looked up at the other one who took it all with a sad face 😢😂
I love how the Dad looks around like “Tch. These kids.” 😂😂
Omg... that last one! Upside-down.. thud!! Hope it was ok!
Indah has grown alot ..I remember when she was just 1!
Typical toddlers are happier with the packaging than whats inside
It's so refreshing to see captive orangutans that aren't obese!!

@ ruthsinpson8542 Don't eat any product with Palm Oil unless it says grown sustainably or Orangutan safe. That would help!
