Same thoughts. They always start to make lame unforced errors during the last points. They're consistent with that mentality. So frustrating especially knowing they have good movements.

@@saku-mg3ei a dive could save a rally, I don't blame her for that. But if you pay attention to her movement set, you will notice some unnecessary steps.

Akane is under perform at the moment,Kodai didn't play mostlikely because he need to rest his physic for olympic
@idoasberger1015 there's still a couple months before Olympic and he definitely will participate in other tournaments before Olympic so what is the point of that.weak excuse. Which is why I'm so puzzled by their choice for not listing both players in semis
@@knightzskye5637it's not unheard of, Malaysia also didn't field pearly/thinaah to let them concentrate on Olympics. Not that it would've made big difference for Malaysia. But still same reason.
Akane was not fit for the semi final game. For Naraoka, I can only think that they want to rest him for the next tournament. There is no need to risk an injury. Coming back from an injury is no easy task. You can ask Kento Momota, Nozomi Okuhara, and Carolina Marin.

@@williamalexander7964 to be honest, I think the toughest player to China is akane yamaguchi. She has perfect techs/skills from all perspective, hope she can do well in Olympic.
Matsuyama & Shida need to work on their end game. They've been in situations like this before-- on match point (or 19) with quite a comfortable lead, yet still lost. But what's very respectable about them is that in all of those matches that I saw, they never sorted to calling for a medical timeout...when if their opponents were in that same situation, they certainly would.
All Japanese players are like that. On the contrary, I've seen Chinese players often do that.

Both teams had their medical timeouts and both for real reasons.
When Chinese called for medical timeout to spray the ankle - fake and unsportsmanlike! When Japanese called for medical timeout to spray the legs - they had real medical reason for that. What a super smart guy he is!

It's just irritating to watch this. WD match was the most frustrating one to watch. Matsuyama & Chida will never win against Chen/Jia if they can't win after that solid lead in the third game. All good players Akane, An se young, Tan/thinnah, Sindhu , Kodai missing. Presence of Akane and An se young definitely would have changed the results of the uber cup.
Let China win both man woman. Other team go back home. Manager & coach problems!!!

in WD the Chinese pulled their signature move, calling for medical care when their opponents is leading in the last set. Shi Yu Qi did the same things quite a few times, looks like this is part of their tactic, does not go against the rules, however seems very unsportsmanlike to me

In this WD match, both pairs called medical break. If you say it is poor sportsmanship, then it goes to all of them. 😂😂😂
I've seen Chinese men double also attempted to do so against Indian pair but the umpire declined them. It's like they teach them to do so as part of the game.
