Polkadotpearl honestly, I would not use it as a complete curriculum. I do love some aspects of ace and I am currently using it with my 8th grader for math. I prefer TG&TB for Math with littles.
Excellent ideas!! TY for sharing. I went to 2 different A.C.E. schools 2nd-9th grade.. I would have been on cloud 1 million if I could have just homeschooled w/ the A.C.E. curricula. Would have avoided so much of the obnoxious adolescent drama.. My only school aged child at this time.. loves the paces & thinks that they're just fun little workbooks.. so we do use A.C.E. in our homeschool, but in a very relaxed way.. This company is called A.C.E. as in just saying the names of the letters.. rather than the name ACE... just sayin.. TY again for taking the time to share. It's always great to see how others do homeschool.. Hope all is well.. (=
I'm definitely going to use the notebook idea. Love the file pouches. How are your kids doing so far using A.C.E. paces? I have a left hander also. Will be buying her cursive for left-handers. Thanks 😍
Thank you! Your video was helpful indeed... Where did you find those folders?? I used the cheap regular folders but they tear so easily. We ended up using a chipboard that has storage for papers. It works for the most part, but I might try to find the folders you used.
Ex-student here. ACE is a fundamentally flawed education system and is one of the reasons why I still have issues with anxiety/depression/self-loathing to this day. Do not get involved with it, no child deserves this. Thanks :)
James D thank you for giving your honest opinion and sharing your personal experience. I can see how that could be possible as there are many religious (meaning non relational and legalistic) institutions or families that use this curriculum. Please note that everyone’s experience is NOT the same. I myself went to many different schools (public and private) including a few ACE schools. One was horridly legalistic, one was ok, and the other was a fabulous experience. I have no problem with self loathing and the problems I do have, because let’s face it we are all broken, are not from the curriculum. In schooling my own children I have used ACE as a whole only twice in my 12 years of homeschooling and it was a lifesaver during those times. Last year I used the math and english for my daughter. Right now I only use the math and again it is exactly what we need. I use curriculum, I do not let it use me. I believe we are created for relationship and not religion. Jesus came to set us free and bring purpose and value to our lives, not to enslave us with the rules and regulations of men. I pray that you can heal and move past the spiritual abuse that you may have endured in your childhood. That is not what Jesus is about and I’m sorry that this curriculum was used to play a part in that. As far as the fundamentally flawed part. Any “read it and regurgitate it” curriculum is flawed, or at least not whole. Education is a lifestyle not a textbook, or a pace. Curriculum is simply a tool, and should be used with care. Praying you find true happiness and joy. Blessings.
This video was very helpful! I just received my son's PACES & I'm learning how to do all this.
I'm watching from Fiji,I love your video and how you organize paces in binder..That's a nice and neat.

Love your videos. Do you have any more homeschooling videos?
Amy Beth I’m in the process of redoing my blog and you-tube. Anything in particular your interested in?
Lynn Harris Yes, more on ACE and how you use it and organize it. Any other homeschooling tips.

Nelle rs I believe I ordered them off Amazon, although most office supply stores carry them. They are called pocket folders.
Nelle rs sorry, pocket dividers.
What curriculum does she use for History? What do you think of a.c.e paces?I'm really considering a.c.e. paces for homeschooling next year. Thank you
So curious- where did you get those cute 3 ring pockets?? I'm looking, but not finding them. My girl would love those! TY in advance. ^_^
ShaysJs337 I got them on amazon. Search pocket dividers.
TY so much.. PS: You seriously made me LOL! at the "...so I don't think they're going to come after me.." part.. ^_^
