Well sir, let me be the first to say that's a great idea! I've seen those at HF a dozen times and never gave it a second look. You can bet the farm I'm going to go pick up a couple now. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see what's next.
Thanks! You don't have to modify anything if you just use the C size batteries...Just use as is. I guess I just like to modify things! ;-) I think they will just keep you aware if someone is nearby outside at night. Good not to be suprised.
Nice! I wish we closer to a HF. I have only been once and walked out with a cart full of stuff. It is a little over 380miles round trip so you gotta make worth your while. Thanks for pointing this one out. I will definitly put it on the list. I do have a motion detecting porch light that works great with a "pilot" light inside to wake me up when light comes on. Good to see you are still out there making things work. Couple more months of winter for us yet, but I will be woking on it soon as posible. Hoping to get the solar at least a basic system installed this year. Take care of yourself Don, you look like you are doing great.
Hi McDave. Always good to hear from you. Just adding some early warning for when I am remotely solo camping. I hope all is well with you. I have to stay away from HF. Always spend too much when I go there. I just like tools! Good luck with the solar.
That is a great hack. Thanks for posting! How do you know that it will only sense large objects like a bear or human and not a smaller object like a racoon or leaves blowing around?
Thanks. It is made for cars or people in driveways. I have actually used this type before on another camper and it wasn't picking up small stuff. If by chance it doesn't, just change the angle up some. Test it with your dog or etc. until you get it set.

@@donsdoityourself2547 True, you do... I like the 12v idea, that way I can use that 12v plug I installed and have never used!

Nice
Thanks
Would have been a real plus seeing it in action and hearing how loud the alarm actually is
Thanks for the comment. I will keep that in mind.
