At 12V it has enough back emf to appose the flow of current. At lower voltage it has not enough back emf and that is why high current will flow thu mosfet and will burn the junction
It should get the right voltage with the right number of turns. Else it will blow the transistor. I lost many and after that it became stable and worked for hours. Those stable circuit is given in the video
@@szekerespista3758 This is not LC or RC type controlled oscillation. This is short circuit type oscillation , i dont know whether it can be called as oscillation? When short circuit the mosfet disconnect the supply to the coil and that time an emf will be induced to the secondary coil. that will create a small trasforrmation flow to the gate coil which will turn the mosfet again switched On. This cycle will continues. That is why if ur giving small voltage than 12V then the mosfet will destroy. That is coz the back emf is not enough to block the current flow.

A couple of questions:- LOT is working fine right? How much voltage you have given? 12V is required by the circuit and anything below will damage the transistor.
I prefer to use a transformer power supply for this circuit. High amp power supply will be a problem coz of not good oscillation

First time it's worked very well.., but after that my MOSFET burnt. Can you explain the reason behind now working on 3 volt.
