I like how you can center the coin easily with those two metal projections before it gets struck. But then it got me to thinking, this wouldn’t work if you wanted a coin with reeded edges, would it?
I've seen that big a wrench before, usually as a joke on peoples walls... but that's the first time I've seen one used for it's actual purpose.. That is a really big wrench.

You're correct! This is called a broadstrike, whereas a coin with a reeded edge is struck inside of a collar that has the edge formed inside of it.
