Uzumaki manga deserves its own live action/anime series.A single movie like this doesn't do it justice. The manga had so many more elements of disgust,creep and horror and a much deeper layer of mystery.The lore and plot were also far more detailed.
if I have to talk about Junji's work I think majority of his works are psychological horror rather than cosmic horror. It rarely makes you feel afraid but in fact uncomfortably disgusted. It plays w our minds than w our sight and that's why he is The Best horror writer of this era
There is a missing scene here in the movie. When soichi's mom got hospptilazied, the time when the centriped ( that was actually the father ) came , he said that is a spiral thing also inside of her and it made her more traumatized. So, soichi took her to the doctor next morning and she saw a picture of the T.S of ear where there is "Cochlea" the spiral shaped organ which is in our ear. She took that out on the same night and that's how she died. Uzumaki manga is top notch and same goes for the movie.

I would suggest you a manga named hellstar remina, the author is the same junji itto and that's one of the best cosmic horror manga if you like it pls make a video on it

the centipede was not the father it was just the spiral curse maddening her mother to cause hallucinations
