This had me in tears! Although I do agree that Zion is a once a generation player! There have been many others that were amazing in HS, and most of them ended up being great NBA players (John Wall, Demar Derozan), but none of them looked anything like this guy! Now, I'm no professional scout, but I have NEVER seen a kid look so dominant as Zion does! It's literally looks like a high school player playing on 8ft rims against 10 year old! I would LOVE to see his team play against better competition, as that is the only thing that can be negatively said about him at the moment, but then again, he doesn't pick his teams schedule (remember that trolls). I honestly don't think there is a HS team in the nation that would have any soft of defensive strategy against him, and while his team would end up taking a loss against the true power teams in the country (chino hills) the game would be a Zion dunk fest, with the crowd in awe of his athleticism by the end of the first half! lol I have never followed a player like I am this kid, and I really hope he proves all of us right, and ends up being the face of the NBA one day!

Everybody else wasn't like this tho, they weren't this young, big, athletic or simply this good, who's been this good at 16? The hype is deserved, Marvin Bagley 3 is hyped, LaMelo Ball is hyped and he's nowhere near this good, Kyree Walker is hyped but not this good, Julian Newman is hyped as well and I don't feel that they deserve it more than this kid, he's obviously better than all of them and he seems much more humble, this kid earned his hype, his raw talent is remarkable, wait til his game actually develops
I Am the Answer remember deschawn Stevenson? In his highschool days they said he is the next mj. After a few seasons with the hawks he disappeared from the NBA. What I want to say is it is too early to say he will be next big thing because at any time a injury can appear or maybe his motivation to work harder on his game sinks. If he keeps up and doesn't let the hype get into his head he will be something special
Deshawn was talented but his mindset was terrible, like Dejuan Wagner....but I agree, Zion has all the potential in the world, the fact that he's so young can either hurt or help him

I do agree with a comment I saw before though. It said that he's playing against some teams that look like they were assembled at the YMCA and it's true. Kevin Katula I don't know...it's a good question. Melo is only a sophomore... with crazy range. That kind of skill is useful no matter what level you're playing on. Plus he's still growing... for all we know, he could spout a few inches over the next few summer, and that will put him right where he needs to be.
