Very sad to watch this. I remember at the show’s beginning at the very start during the pilot episodes Don was quite a nasty character but then he mellowed a lot over the years.
@@johnkennethwiseman682 She was a mess too, fled to England, became a nanny. He ran into her a year later and they were able to lay the past to rest and dissolve their marriage. Next thing we heard of Marilyn is she had terminal cancer and wouldn't see Don when he came to visit her off screen a few years later. She was fated to die in on her return in 2010 but beat it.
I really liked Donald Fisher he may have been nasty sometimes but he did have a good side too and very sweet in some ways but it was rare to see after all he was a teacher I think he was headmaster of summer bay high school I don't know what students in Australia call the head teacher if anyone can tell me please but over here we have head masters or mistresses
Norman Coburn is a very fine actor
He really is and one very talented person Xxx
His relationship and marriage to Marilyn was a genius stroke by writers and we got to see a whole new side to Donald.
it was a very good idea. Don was as human as the next man. it just took a long time for the writers to show that
It was good we got to see his vulnerable side and Norman Cobbon is a phenomenal actor Xx
I agree. They were such an unlikely couple but it completely worked and created many great storylines.
why would a intellectual be attracted to a bimbo ?

Yeah he became to be one of the main cares of the community, an agony uncle of The Bay.
This is an amazing scene. 2000 was one of the superior seasons, for sure.
I adored Mr Don Fisher hated seeing him crying Xx
Sad. At the time I didn't really understand but now I'm older it's real sad what a great actor Norman is
@@andrewshirfield You’re right his acting was so to the point and his performance was phenomenal you truly felt Don’s pain Xx
when the soap was worth watchen
Third child to die on him in a decade. Alan died of an anurysm in 1988, Bobby died in the boating accident in 1993

@@johnkennethwiseman682 Tru, I meant specifically his children who got to live even though Byron didn't make it to his first birthday
I could relate to this back then, as I was still at school at the time.
Norman Coburn barely aged in Home & Away
That's actually from the year 2000.
