I knew an old soldier who ended up attached to the he DLI ,he said they would fight all day and when they had a chance to rest and ran out of enemies they would fight each other for fun out of boredom.
Do you have any further information at Beamish on the background to this film, such as where the soldiers were heading to or who made the film? It has prompted many discussions and speculative ideas on some Consett local history discussion pages!
