You seem like you would be a blast to fish with man. I have a friend who uses your hookup baits and swears by them lol. He seems to do pretty well with where he goes with em. I can’t afford them lol I’m stuck with the atomic tube baits.

Chad, curious about your spinning set-up? Rod and reel info would be helpful. Other than my OG Shimano 6500 Bait Runner from years past, for offshore/inshore species, I'm nothing but baitcasters, i.e, Lexa 300/400's and a shitload bunch of Avets. I never found a good spinning rod that had enough backbone to handle the angry Mossbacks or Seabass before I quit looking.

That's a Shimano saragosa 6000. That's a custom rod. But I have other setups with same reel on a Shimano teramar 8'6 med/heavy. Caught many big yellowtail and 2 60 lb wsb on that setup with no problems

The daiwa MQ LT series are taught and light, for example the Caldia 21.
And size of reel is smaller example daiwa 10,000 is about the size of a shimano saragosa 6000
