One of You Tube's oldest RADIO AIRCHECK MUSEUM with a NEW VIDEO posted daily at 3PM EST.
After over 40 years working on the radio, I have recorded lots of radio airchecks, and many from my friends as well.
You'll find audio of many radio personalities who have passed away. Lots radio recordings from the 1940s, through the 2010.
We also talk about radio broadcasting. If you happen to have classic airchecks, maybe even of yourself on the air, we'd love to share it here!
We also share videos about Travel & Cruising. I share tips on how I travel cheaply, so you can do it also! Find me on Facebook: / ellisairchecks
I could pick up WKBW on Long Island while driving to my NY radio job in the late 70’s. Miss those days.
It’s a blast hearing those great radio jingles!
Can’t get enough Jingles !!.. my fave of all time 1130 WNEW..always a big thank you ELLIS!!
Love the WLS Larry Lujack bit. Not that I would want to hear it all day long though....lol
Some familiar jingles here that were repackaged for Radio London, the offshore pirate station moored off Frinton, Essex, England in the mid 1960's. They broadcast from a converted American minesweeper.
Incredible!! What a collection!
The Nashviie ones though.❤️❤️📻📻
Many Thanks Ellis !
Great stuff. Did you add that wheel of Fortune sound at the end of the Pat Sajack jingle? That was a nice touch.
Thank You Ellis, these are great! I've been searching with no luck for jingles from my hometown station in Fall River/Somerset MASS. from 1971-72, WSAR 1480 AM, and WPRO 630 from the same years. Maybe some subscribers have some! Thanks again!
who were the main jingle companies?
Thanks Ellis!
@EllisFeaster I really love all of these classic radio jingles, but I can confirm that most of these came from the 1960s as I can hear all of the musical influences on big bands and the style of jazz music, however there are also some shotgun, rapid, tight acapella forms of jingles as well.
Hold up, Pat Sajak wasn’t the host of Wheel of Fortune until the ‘80s
I love it,wow
Man I wish radio station still had jingles like that. Anything now is just cookie cutter commercialized boring nonsense. If you get the chance can you put together a jingle montage for AM
That Was Great!
Again thank you, Ellis. Always enjoy these.
Well, those were early 60s for the most part. Not 1970s. They were outdated even then.
