Markets are hitting all-time highs to start the week, with the S&P 500 above 5,800 for the first time in history. The index's performance is driven by strong early reports from the third-quarter earnings season, along with a continued favorable outlook on inflation, as reflected in last week’s consumer and producer price index reports. Meanwhile, the bond market is starting to signal that future rate cuts may be delayed for some time, as the 10-year Treasury yield rises above 4% for the first time since July. In this edition of Market Commentary, Rick breaks down the numbers and explains why prolonged higher interest rates aren't necessarily a bad thing.
