The Biden-Harris Administration on Wednesday finalized a significantly stronger air quality standard that will better protect America’s families, workers, and communities from the dangerous and costly health effects of fine particle pollution, also known as soot. By strengthening the annual health-based national ambient air quality standard for fine particulate matter (PM2.5) from a level of 12 micrograms per cubic meter to 9 micrograms per cubic meter, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s updated standard will save lives.

EPA stands for Environmental Protection Agency. My question is…who are and what are you protecting? You gave the go ahead for fracking in the Pittsburgh vicinity. This requires the company to extract 1.5 MILLION GALLONS of water PER DAY from our Big Sewickley Creek. It also will pollute our waters and soil. Common sense will tell you that this is disastrous for our environment. We have nesting herons and kids go fishing in Big Sewickley Creek. How could you people betray us like this? But we the people have ourselves to blame for this tragedy. We have to have all the biggest, best, newest electronic gadgets. Everything we use just about takes lots of electricity or batteries that take electricity to charge them. Electronics is going to be the death of this planet and put everyone in great debt because people are using charge cards and they don’t have the qualifications for jobs you need to pay these bills. We are sheep and letting these companies run our lives. They are constantly “ upgrading” products. New and improved?? No…cheaper made and more expensive. We have to say no before it’s too late. Science doesn’t have to tell you we are in trouble….common sense does. We have to start taking responsibility to save this planet because EPA sure isn’t.
