About the program LET HIM KISS ME:
The "Shir Ha-Shirim", the Song of Songs or Song of Solomon, belongs to the very special texts of the Bible. It is a lyrical drama, whose speakers and episodes meet as in a dream and imaginatively describes erotic longing and heavenly bliss of two lovers. And this predominantly from the woman's point of view. In this concert, different settings of the fascinating biblical love songs will be heard in exciting new interpretations. Compositions from the Renaissance and the early Baroque are juxtaposed with works from the 20th century and the present. Traditional Jewish chants (Aron Saltiel) and recitative sections give the texts a very special color. The accordion (Christian Bakanic) plays a leading role, sounding solo and together with the voices and connecting the individual sections with interludes.

Das “Schir Ha-Schirim”, das Lied der Lieder oder auch Hohelied Salomos, gehört zu den ganz besonderen Texten der Bibel. Es ist ein lyrisches Drama, dessen Sprecher und Episoden wie in einem Traum aufeinandertreffen und fantasievoll erotische Sehnsucht und himmlische Glückseligkeit zweier Liebender beschreibt. Und das überwiegend aus der Sicht der Frau. In diesem Konzert erklingen unterschiedliche Vertonungen der faszinierenden biblischen Liebeslieder spannend neu interpretiert. Kompositionen aus der Renaissance und dem Frühbarock werden Werken des 20. Jahrhunderts und der Gegenwart gegenübergestellt. Traditionelle jüdische Gesänge (Aron Saltiel) und rezitierende Abschnitte verleihen den Texten eine ganz besondere Farbe. Eine tragende Rolle spielt das Akkordeon (Christian Bakanic), das solistisch und gemeinsam mit den Stimmen erklingt und mit Interludien die einzelnen Abschnitte verbindet.
