Gogeta is definitely a good and easy character to play (Hes been high tier ever since he was added, top 1 before Lab21). And I will say, its great to say you getting better, I would recommend practicing your reaction on random vanishes and learning to preserve meter for high level combos
Hmm. Gogeta has literally never been number one in this game as he struggled in neutral before the buff to his lariats and when he got the buff to his frame data. But when he was buffed, so was vegito and blue gogeta which started the double fusion 17 meta, to be replaced when labcoat came out. Even then there were other characters at the time like teen gohan and Majin 21 who overall had him beat. he's the best he's ever been right now but falling short of some of these insanely buffed characters like beerus, jiren, and blue vegeta.
I can give you an advice to get that Big Bang Kamehameha One Shot, when you finish the combo and the opponent is in the floor charge it 1 lvl, when the opponent is blocking try use your assist to distract him (specially Beam assist like the Kamehameha of Rose or the Kicks of Vegito Blue) and while they are dealing with the assist block you make one charge, and then if you land the counter you can combo it with the One Shot move If you try it again that can help

Also his levels give his supers more damage and his A assist allows him to use the taunt to gain levels but it only goes up to 5 but you also gain half a bar everytime you use it…hope this helps

Whenever you use Vegito spirt sword in the air you can combo it with his grab then if you have a level 1 you can use it right after but if you're trying to do the level 3 then you can do it when you and the opponent land on the ground, but you have to be fast cause if you don't your opponent can get up and block it. And one more tip whenever you land Vegito level 3 if you have one more bar right after then you can combo it into a level 1 whenever the level 3 is done.
honestly you should try saving your meter and not level 1 after each combo cuz then you can get way more level 3s. you only really wanna level 1 if its either a dp(invulnerable lvl 1) or its gonna kill(also the reason you do less damage sometimes is because its scaled) basically imagine combo comp from legends but for fighterz (dragon rush+projectiles are heavily scaled, light attacks are scaled, medium and heavy are not)

Little information G4 lose most of his levels once you use level 1 super or level 3 super So if you are aiming to use level 7 bang bag kamehameha his level will reset to 1
SSJ4 Gogeta is pretty good. I use him on the exact same team you use. It’s kinda hard for me to do the taunt since you have to do jt 7 times to be able to use the Big Bang Kamehameha and one shot.
I advise when using this character to try to pull off the taunt whenever you land a hard knockdown against the opponent. (Haven't played the game in a while so idk really)
If you use A assist on ssj4 gogeta you can build stacks when his assist is available also using your level 1 when using ssj4 gogeta uses your stacks also work on incorporating specials into your combos not supers those come after your combo is finished
here is a helpful tip for gogeta 4 if you won't to get level 7 easier then you should have a a assist on him because it can get him to level 5 then you have to manually build his levels
