Hi bro, I have a question. How did they make the piano in "on a day like today" sound that way at minute 1:20? . what piano is it? not heard on any other track on the album "hopes and fears"
It seems a CP-70 with saturation and slight distortion. It's a wonderful song by the way 😊
Echo and reverb are also important to achieve that piano sound. Another trick I used in was applying short echo and reverb to the piano, panning the dry sound to one side and the wet to another.
Here's a demo I just did: drive.google.com/file/d/1X5dO5VhhwsIeh8SajI9YqUKCQRajibAp/view?usp=sharing
wow dude, how did you do the intro? Did you use a guitar?
@@JeongyJohnny The intro is a Yamanha CP70 electric piano run through a distortion pedal. I researched and apparently Kent used this technique throughout the whole UTIS album. You can find the list of VST in the description.
@@alternativeremakes thanks!
Nice work! also, where is the image from?
Thanks! the image has been generated by AI.
I had a suspicion... It did pretty well!
it's "inspired" in the classic (and maybe the most copied art of our history!) the great wave of kanagawa, by hokusai.
No eches a perder una buena canción con presets baratos
