Can I beat Pokémon SoulSilver with only Giovanni's Team as a Hardcore Nuzlocke Challenge?
Giovanni is a very popular Pokémon character, and he is known for two Pokémon Species: Persian from the Anime, or the Nidoking and Nidoqueen Line in the games. That's why I want to use his full power team and see how far I can go. Even though he is a Ground Type Specialist, it's not a Ground Only Hardcore Nuzlocke Challenge.

Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:
- I can only catch the first Pokémon on each route
- I don't catch duplicates
- If a Pokémon faints, it's done for the run
- I play on set mode
- I have a level cap
- No items in battle besides Poké Balls, held items are fine

Maxi in Hoenn sounds interesting.
I think Giovanni in Hoenn will happen in some time, would need to think about the route.

Maybe you are looking at Giovanni the wrong way?
While he does specialize in Ground types, he's all about having the strongest pokemon, his self proclaimed "strongest trainer" status, ect.
Gyarados and Arcanine are pretty tough mons, and really fit that aesthetic of his.

Giovanni was a classic to try out in Johto! Nidoqueen, Nidoking,Crobat and Golam were really carrying the team, Beedril was an excellent lead with toxic spikes 👊😮.
Giovanni had a lot of cool pokemon in the manga and in the games ,and you've been using them really well,even though Onix's quick claw was a definitely a defining moment.😂
I would suggest professor oak's classic gen 1 team against soul sliver, because he was Giovanni's rival in sense,at least according to fan theories.

I realized Beedrill's strength just right before facing Pryce, but it worked out fine and I liked the strategy. 😂
Queen and King always carry, that's actually a reason I was against the run at first, but did it anyway. 😅
Oak's team from Gen1 is basically Blue's team, right? Tauros, Exeggutor, Arcanine, Gyarados and last Starter. I was thinking about a Blue Run in HeartGold, so it might be an Oak's team with some addtion. Actually, I don't think Gen1 Oak can beat Falkner, at least not without changing the starter in SoulSilver. Only one missing would be Tauros, but I can create a reason for that, I think. 😉
