Thanks for appreciating Hong Kong and how unique it is. It is a shame they shut down the Golden Mickey Awards. That was definitely the best part of the park.
The best part of HK Disneyland is the metro line. It completely isolate the park from the vivid city and give you an experience to travel into a magical world
I am a Hongkonger and I haven't been there in a while now... The park has changed so much since I was there And the Disneyland is now closed because of the coronavirus I would want to check it out but I am too afraid to get outside
Thanks for a great video . We were in Disneyland CA early Jan this year, and you have just helped me make the decision that Hong Kong Disneyland will be our next family holiday 👏🏻🤗 .
Thank you for the positive feedback! Glad you enjoyed the video :) The rest of Hong Kong is also awesome to explore so it's a great place to do a bit of Disney and explore the local culture and sites 👍
Been to the part during the unrest 2019 ..... and my last trip is on 9-12 Jan 2020. Hong Kong Disneyland is my second home whenever I go to HK. The atmosphere, the people and the spirits of the CM provide me a wonderful experience during my stay. Hope to return to this park once the border is open.
I would love to visit every Disney theme park in the world because I am a lover of details. That's great 👍 that you've been able to have these experiences. I live in Florida and It's great to be close to WDW but still, I'd love to see these overseas parks. I've been staring at pictures of Hong Kong's redesigned castle and I think I'm beginning to like it's uniqueness.
I really enjoyed this park because it is so chilled and easy to do, the queues are nothing compared to the other parks - but unfortunately it needs quite a few more rides, and more unique ones too. I think they do Halloween really well here, though, and very excited for the new castle!
Thank you for your wonderful video Jamie!!!! I love it and also I'm gonna have my trip to hong kong Disneyland this Wednesday( honestly I have an annual pass and I have been there 13 times this year) But u did a really good job comparing different Disneyland! It's a stunning video! Keep going! Greeting from 🇭🇰 HONG KONG
Funnily enough I’m seeing this video before I head to Hong Kong for 2 weeks in May, I also hope that the virus doesn’t affect any plans I have before I head there
MrHaro654 hopefully it doesn’t and you have a great time! Awesome city to explore alongside Disneyland 😁 if you haven’t already seen it and fancy it I made a whole video about our time in Hong Kong and what to do there: ua-cam.com/video/ILs2cV7D-mE/v-deo.html
Honestly, not at all unsafe. We did visit in a week when it had become relatively quiet, but still the only difference we really noticed was some vandalism and graffiti, and riot police in places. Everyone was lovely and everything was running normally. Not sure if you caught it but I did a whole video on Hong Kong ☺️ - ua-cam.com/video/ILs2cV7D-mE/v-deo.html
I have recently been to Paris last year, and Orlando in Jan 2020, somehow I think Paris needs to step up their food game (only their croque monsier was good in the parks)... From your video, Hong Kong Disney's food looks pretty good!
It’s definitely a real Disney experience but if you’ve been to all the other parks like I have, it’s difficult not to rank HKDL in last position unfortunately. That’s not to say it’s bad - it’s just the “least good” of a collection of world class theme parks.
Three Disney hotels are obviously good, but there are literally no other hotels in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately it would be a bit of trek getting to the park with multiple changes on metro line unless you had a car. Nearest and most accessible hotels are probably actually those at Hong Kong airport like Hilton etc (the airport is the only other real major infrastructure on the island other than a few resort areas). Other than that you are probably better off staying in the centre of Hong Kong if you want to get the metro in, at which point you obviously has a choice of anything you can imagine from budget to 5-star.
Robin Brewer oh no! We kept wondering whether we would need to change our plans because of the riots but it ended up being absolutely fine... by August I should hope the coronavirus spread should be under control. The people of Hong Kong are certainly calling for the strictest measures to limit the spread from mainland over the border.
Patrick Mühlbeyer yeah we really want to do Tokyo Disneyland (and visit Japan in general). Hopefully plan on doing that this year on our travels! Have you been?
@@jamieroundtheworld Yes i went there in may and it was spectacular. I highly recommended to look for the crowd calendar. May was basically perfect because the first week of may is the golden week in japan when everyone is on vacation. So we went on a weekday after the golden week when everyone is back to work. We had two days of walk-ons in parks that are usually packed. It was so amazing. You can clearly see that disney seas is everything they wanted paris to be. It's sad to hear you talk about hyperspace mountain in paris because you are right. Have you seen what this coaster looked like back in the 90s? By the was space mountain in tokyo is an absolut fun machine.
@@jamieroundtheworld Make sure you get to DisneySea in Tokyo. Absolutely miles above any other Disney park on earth (although I haven't been to Shanghai yet). It's absolutely mind-blowing.

Yes! I loved collecting the confetti
@@salami7031 I know!! And the fun part for me is highfiving Mulan! She's my favourite. Plus the beast's transformation is the most magical thing!

how much does the entrance is for kids and adults me and my family were planning to go to hongkong disneyland this summer when the virus is gone
How did you feel generally about Hong Kong at this current time of unrest? Did it feel unsafe?

The unrest was directed at the chinese communists not tourists. We Hong Kongers love our foreign friends so there is no reason to worry

In Hong Kong I SAW A ROBOT TRASH CAN REALLY IT LOOKED AT ME AND TURN AROUND AND I SAW A WORD SAID PUSH
It's just my first time seeing a robot
Booked a trip for august two weeks before coronavirus happened. Hope I won't have to cancel!
