Well done boys! happy days! Awesome content and very informative Daniel. Keep us posted, waiting for the next video, I must say awesome smart shirt Daniel, happy days!
To add to the story, the large building we see just after the clips from the Last Post Ceremony is the Cloth Hall, and cats are thrown from the hall's belfry during the Cat Parade. Not real cats, of course. It, along with pretty much all of Ypres, was destroyed in World War I, but was reconstructed exactly as it had been beforehand.
I'm with you on the lack of "Cruise Control". It's the one thing I miss the most, but fortunately don't drive THAT far. The ferry looked awesome. Do you ever give your friend a chance to drive the Panda? 🤣
@@DanielDrives It’ll never look great, because you’ll need bits of wiring and kit. Also, in a manual, cruise control is not as useful, so IMHO, not worth the effort.
Having participated in the Last Post Ceremony I know how moving it is. Not even the fact that the three-yearly Cat Parade was on immediately before could take that away. Please tell me you attempted at least a few words of Dutch while you were there!
Your excitement about the trip is infectious!
@@david.parker it’s genuinely exciting!

@@JohnSummer98 thanks John! It’s one of my new shirts 😄
Great start, loved your 'well I'm doing it' look!!
(And Jacob at Cobham, looked like he wanted to be anywhere except in front of that camera!)
@@simonbanks3112 hahaha, he’ll be on properly by the end of the week 😉

@@MakerfieldConsort I knew about the second fact, but definitely not the first! 😅
I'm going for the first time driving abroad later this year, great video, really professional :)
Thank you! You'll have a great time.
I remember my first time driving on the right - it took a fair bit of concentration but the 2nd year I did it, everything felt much more natural.
Enjoyed this very much because I’m driving to Bruges in two weeks time. I have booked with DFDS to Dunkirk too. Will watch part two now.
Ahh very nice! I'm heading to Bruges at the end of the month before going to see the Belgian GP.
Looks like a fun trip so far. Enjoy.
Looks amazing. Leffe brown, good choice😂. Enjoy the rest
Cheers Mark! Was needed after a long day on the road 😄

@@GaryInAmsterdam don’t say that, you’ll give him ideas 😅
I think it is possible to retro fit cruise control, I might look into it.
@@DanielDrives haha true.
Yeah interested in the CC
