Arcades bring back wonderful childhood memories with my grandparents. The hope you would win something , but if not successful didn’t matter as you were having so much fun. I would have gone in the snowball machine too😂 Loved sharing your day 😀

I worked on the Wildwood Boardwalk for 4 summer's in a row 1979-80-81-82 at a place that is now known as Bobby Dee's Arcade at Schellinger Ave. I ran a record wheel game where you could win a record or cassette tap for 25 cents! The boardwalk life was interesting for sure. My boss from that time is still the owner Bob DiPeso although at the time I worked the place was called Lou's Las Vegas but it burned down at the end of the summer of '82 and was rebuilt to what is there now.
Two of my all time favorite Wildwood memories took place in that arcade. In 96 or 97, as a kid, I was playing the fighting game Tekken 2. Well, out of nowhere, one of the vampires from Dracula's Castle challenged me! He stayed in character the whole time, threatening to bite my neck if I beat him lol. He won. Then in 99 or 2000, I was playing the wildly popular shooting game House of the Dead 2. A younger kid was playing with me, and out of nowhere, a guy starts watching us and was so into the game! He started cursing out the zombies, "shoot him in the effing head!" and started talking about how he watched Night of the Living Dead like 100 times. The younger kid I was playing with ran out of money, so this guy, who I dubbed "Dude Curse A Lot" , started giving the kid quarters so we can beat the game. Then after we beat the game, Dude Curse A Lot said he wanted to play the game..his wife did not look amused lol
I just wish there were more video games in arcades these days, and less redemption type games. Video games created memories like the ones I shared. Oh well. Sign of the times.

nice. can you do more arcade videos and play the claw machines and maybe win some prizes from them? Also can you try the Stacker machines if they have them and a game called Dizzy Chicken if they have it?
