- All good things must come to an end. We have big plans for the VL Quad Turbo, we had to send a rod out of the block by doing a massive burnout and revving the RB30 to 10,000rpm!!

No need to get rid of the quads just because you're going v8! Just run a pair of compound turbos either side!

They said supercharged L98 in the video, which is a regular 6.0. That'll be fine for compounds. A wastegate still regulates pressure, and there's less parasitic loss with a turbo compared to a supercharger, so really, there's less strain on the engine. It's just a matter of how you ramp the boost in from low rpm, as the compound setup will make boost anywhere you want it. @@effigy42

Surely as mechanics u should know that the small turbo should spool up the bigger turbo & so on?
That's why it only made similar power figures to a single turbo.
Little spools the big, big spools the bigger & then bigger spools the biggest- therefore putting maximum air into the motor.
U got the whole thing backwards...

Coil binding n valve float will brake rockers My old el falcon always used to brake rockers when limit bashed a bit to much I carried spare rockers and lifters got it down to 15mins swapped out rockers back running on side of road I needed different valve springs to allow for the extra lift it was a rather stupid hot cam doing it lol.. would skid up at 100kmph overtaking sideways was great fun
