After fishing the small feeder creek in the morning and taking a lunch break, I headed to fish the main creek. Tons of pocket water, beautiful water falls and trout! THIS CREEK IS AMAZING!
I used the Tanuki 375 and a kebari from Lady Tenkara Bum!

It helps the channel out. Thank you!
Enjoy!
Very nice looked like a great place
Oh yeah, thanks for watching!
Wow! I had no idea there were streams like this in Michigan. Incredible! Thank you for sharing.
Yeah Michigan has some gems for sure! 🙌 Thanks for watching!
Beautiful spot. Got a fishing fix even though it’s cold here. Thanks Jared!
Oh yeah! Great spot! I know, I haven't been out yet in 2024! Thanks for watching Jon!
ohhh yeah ❤
Keep it coming 🤩
🙌 Will do Carlos! Do you still hear the net clanking with the rod tubes? 😁
Beautiful location with some awesome trout!👏
Thanks dude! 🙌
Good job Jared. You certainly know how to locate some beautiful creeks up there. Those sweet browns were a nice surprise!
Thanks Gary! Yeah, those browns definitely were not in the stream last year or I just didn't catch them. 😁
really nice spot
Thanks Art!
Great vid Jared. In the past couple years, I started carrying a staff with me. I bought some relatively inexpensive hiking poles off of Amazon that I use for various things, and one of them turned out to be as a wading staff. I clip one of them to side of my vest, pack or belt, so it's always handy when I need to move, then let it hang there while I fish. It also helps when navigating steep banks while getting in or out. Yeah, it's no fun taking a fall, especially on streams where the rocks are slippery, and too big to walk on but too small to stand on (like walking on bowling balls).
Thanks Coach! I do have a wading staff now lol could have used it for that fall 😂 I got an old carbon fiber folding trekking pole now too!
Well done, Jared. I especially enjoyed your demonstrating the capabilities of the Tanuki 375 Trout Catapult.
As for the red circle identifier, I thought you would have gone more with Predator’s triangle targeting system ;)
Haha Mitch! I always love your comments! The Tanuki 375 Trout Catapult works wonders with dinks!
And tenkara with the Predator! 🤔😂 You may be on to something!
just rewatched…with sound this time cause I was at work. really liked that move at 12:50. love that stall you gave the fly and BOOM. 🔥
Haha! It really wasn't me, it was the ofsakas made by you that made the trout bite! 😜 Sadly I have since lost that kebari. 😬 Thanks for making such a badass flie! 🙌
Ribbit! Wow, that brookie was the pièce de résistance of that creek. Well done! I really want to deep nymph some of those big pockets adjacent to the waterfalls. There are some studs lurking down there for sure.
Haha! That frog was just chillin. 🙌 TY! Yeah, I probably would have nymphs those holes if I had all day. Tons of people swimming there too.
@@tenkaragenki Being under time constraints does put a hamper on thoroughly working a hole, not to mention people swimming and blowing it up! Seems like another trip is in order!
@@FoxFlyFishing I did climb up and fish that tiny creek in the morning and for sure another trip for the 4th of July! There's always fireworks in that stream!
Pretty water. You should try a dry dropper in those pockets, you can get some aggressive hits on top. Furled line?
Thanks Michael! Yes, 10ft furled tenkara line. I'm not the best with a hopper dropper setup, but I may have to try it next time! I wanted the true tenkara experience.
I guide in the marquette area, I don't think there's any place more beautiful or better to fish than Michigans Upper Peninsula.
Oh sweet! Awesome to hear that I pick a great creek then! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful water. No offense to the Driftless, but I really liked following you on this stream.
😁 The Driftless says no offense taken! Thanks Mike! I do love to fish different water and this one resembles true tenkara water for sure!
ofsekasa kebari I believe it’s called
🤣 yes, that's the kebari's name! It's a killer!
you know it 😉 thank you for the name
