Victims that I think are often overlooked are Charles Vallow's sons. They lost their father, and they were related to Tylee and JJ for all those years before Lori met Chad and ran off. I hope that the trial is publicized and that they get justice in Arizona.
Yes! Nobody ever cares about or remembers them it seems! And even Colbys kids... that's their grandma and grandpa both gone- and their aunts and uncles too now

I don't think they have been forgotten they just haven't been real vocal. Thankfully they seem to have a wonderful mother, who I'm sure has been helping them cope with all of this. I wish them nothing but the best, same with Colby.

Here is what I find very odd about Lori's coldness. Normally when a loved child dies, regardless of the circumstances, parents grieve terribly....even if they have assurance that the child is in heaven. The grief for a dead child lasts a lifetime. OK, if Lori truly believes she was releasing her kids from demon possession, and truly believes they are in a better place, and truly loves them, would she not still grieve for them? Does she not miss them? Why does she have zero emotion for her dead children? Evidently she believes she will see them again, but so do most parents whose children die. That does not stop the grief. Believing she saved her kids from some horrible earthly fate should not keep her from grieving their loss. Lori has NEVER shown an ounce of sorrow over the loss of her kids. How does she expect anyone to believe she loved them in the absence of any grief? If I was on the jury that would be a HUGE red flag. Her lack of grief shows she does not believe her own lies. She wanted those kids dead and it wasn't because she was concerned for them, It was because they stood in the way of HER happiness, and her lack of grief proves it. It didn't bother her one bit to have them killed, and it still doesn't. PURE EVIL.

Summer’s voice is the pure example of heartbreak and deception. I feel so bad for her.
Summer cries and wails like a grieving mother, while Lori stays icy cold. No love, no pain, no remorse, no heartbreak, nothing. But she does repeat the same few sentences in every phone call - "no one knows what I am going through, I did everything for those children, I took care of them, no one knows what happened, everyone is judging me." It is all me, me, ME. It is, it was and it always will be only about Lori, the goddess. Her children were a part of her perfect mom image, but the moment she wanted freedom and her maniac cult guru provided her with an excuse, she got her vile brother to murder them and dispose of them in a most bestial way. "No one knows what she is going through?" She is going through NOTHING. Malignant narcissists CANNOT LOVE and tgey do not feel remorse. It is a medical fact of psychopathology. They only use those around them. Lori Vallow is not going through anything, except the rage that she got caught and that her toxic fantasy of fuc*ing around Hawaii with Chad and pretending she is an "exalted goddess" is over.
Both Chad and she should face the death penalty. No other sentence, including life without parole, is enough. (And I was always against the death sentence.)

I lost a 12 yr old niece to a murder. I was angry but yet sad. Lori is absolutely sickening her coldness. It's OK with her to murder her children. Prisons have care, custody and control of inmates in their institutions and are responsible for them the way a parent is supposed to be, this means the outside family of a prisoner can sue the state for failure to protect the inmate if there is ever the “prison justice” that you seem so keen to have delivered. If you’re not going to be angry that the inmates family will find this recoverable, maybe you can find some sympathy for the taxpayers of the state who must pay the multimillion dollar settlements.
I realize it took a lot of bravery for Summer to stand up to her sister, Lori....God bless you Summer..hope you read this and I believe you did the right thing. JUSTICE FOR JJ, TYLEE, CHARLES, TAMMY, AND JOE RYAN.

@@MsDanista Joe died in 2018? Not sure but it wasn't too long before the other murders. I'll need to Google what Joe died from or what they ruled as the cause. Do you think Chad and Lori killed Alex bc they were afraid he would talk. This case has so many twists and turns it is hard to keep up. If there was financial gain in Joe's death they probably did kill him.

It's very cathartic to hear Lori getting screamed at, I've yelled most of the things Summer said to Lori in that call into the ether while learning about this case. But it's still so heartbreaking, I feel for the people in her family who've loved and supported her only to find out who she is and what she's capable of. No one would assume that their loved one is as cruel and heartless as Lori has revealed herself to be.

Summer should question whether Lori protected the kids from Joe Ryan or helped Lori keep the kids from Joe Ryan. The social worker was convinced Lori was prepping the kids with an abuse narrative and made that part of her official observation.

The death penalty is too lenient. Better that they stay in prison for life with no possibility of release, ever. Preferably in solitary confinement.
Death penalty was removed becoz of a technicality by the State...late entry of evidence. NOT becoz Lori didn't qualify.
It seems Summer is one of a few sane people in this family. Wow! She was able to make statements and ask questions of Lori in the midst of a emotionally charged call with great clarity.

What gets me is how soon after moving to Rexburg that the kids were killed, especially Tylee. She had only been there barely over a week. Lori and Chad definitely did NOT want her there. Then JJ was only a few weeks later. They didn’t stand a chance.

I believe she’s been manipulative, and had a dark side her entire life! This is not about “callings” or religion, this is not about scriptures! @@sandrahill-qn6hb Their spouses had to die in order for their marriage vows to be purely severed. Divorces are the breaking off a promise to God that requires repentance. Being "single by death" completely ends the commitment vowed and the surviving spouse is squeaky clean from entanglements. With their "God-like" stats they had to qualify w/o question ( they sure blew that, huh ;)

You mentioned Lori’s mention of being married ‘months later’ after the children were killed. Did anyone notice on her phone call to her oldest son, she really got heated about having to take care of the children ‘all by myself’. I think that’s significant. She had lost her cool when she said it.

The defense is trying to to up the professional. What makes me angry is that we all know they're guilty, it's completely obvious but still they try to make the expert witness's look unreliable. There are innocent people in prison like Steven Avery but yet Casey Anthony walks free. Something is very broken in the system.
it's a broken system but it's the best humanity has come up with so far... it's not always fair nor just what happens to a defendant but if you were ever unjustly accused these are the protections we have. and the court system TRIES to err on the side of reasonable doubt and innocent until proven otherwise. while it ends in injustice for those like casey anthony, if it were you on trial you would be grateful for the presumption of innocence and the necessary tedium of the courts. imo.

I would hope Summer had an opportunity to comment on her sister’s honesty and treatment of a few good men, such as the late Joseph Ryan, Tylee’s father, and the late Charles Vallow, J.J.’s father. Hmm. Tammi Daybell died weeks before Lori eloped with Chad Daybell. And Alex died the day after Tammi’s body was exhumed? Both of Colby’s stepfathers are deceased, and he has no stepmother. You get my curiosity? The Chad Daybell family is not touched by an angel. More like just touched.
So the whole defense will rely on persuading the jury that Chad was a Svengallie and controlled Lori's every action. Right?

I have a feeling Lori’s lawyers will say it was all Chad and Chads lawyers will say it was all Lori. I fear this may get them both acquitted or at least lessen the charges for each of them.

As for obtaining text message logs, there is an easy enough solution to this problem! Call NSA, and make them give up that information. As a taxpayer, I insist that NSA do the right thing and hand over the text logs. It is disgusting with all the data they keep and then when some of it is needed they do not offer it up. Two children, a husband, and a wife were killed here in Idaho. The least NSA could do is hand over the logs that are probably sitting in Bluffdale as I type this. There is always a work around to finding a solution to a problem. This one is easy enough to solve. If NSA is unwilling to do the right thing and hand over the text logs then do we need to still have some of our tax dollars go to this alphabet agency?
It's true what Summer said if the children's bodies hadn't been found, and Lori wasn't in jail, Lori still would't have made contact with her family. If it wasn't for Kay, those poor children would not have been reported missing, and ultimately found.
