true about the sets. My secondary school, the only time I was in 3rd set, in year 8 science was abyssmal. People setting fire to shit all the time, one kid pouring hydrochloric acid on his hand to see what happened, jelly cubes being thrown everywhere, including on teachers butts, stabbings, people throwing scissors everywhere. It's essentially: Set 1- the high achievers, the people who you know are gonna get A's in GCSE's and who are well behaved. Set 2- the people who are good but not top of the class level, pretty decently behaved, have a high likelihood of doing well in GCSE's and also potentially getting moved up. Set 3- The low achievers, often have sub standard teachers, this is where you go when you screw up and don't take exams seriously, some will probably go to jail later in life. Set 4- the bottom of the barrel, people who either struggle really hard or are dumber then a sack of rocks or just piss about. Cannot be left alone for one second, contribute bulk of detentions and reasons for new safety measures, include people who are physchopaths and may become serial killer, violence is like tea for them.
@Hungergamesbackstories for me technology doesn't have sets, im top set and we got asked our class code and someone said the code for bottom set and everyone agreed (no way i'm 4th set technology bc otherwise how did they let me move down 2 sets by my own choice)

We’re year 10 and me and a friend had a photography exam all day so missed sports day (he still went out for his activities so didn’t miss much and I don’t rlly enjoy it ) but each year the school get a ice cream van for sports day and the head kicked my friend out the line bc it was near end of lunch and we had to go to a lesson (almost everyone kicked out line) and my friend did something and the head teacher said he was acting like his 3 year old daughter and all my friend said was “ I’m 2 get it right”

as a set 1 I can confirm we're all a bunch of goofs and don't do much and there's some destined failures still in here for sure
I'm set one for most things (somehow) and then I'm in set five for technology.
