Coal Creek March

- I learned the Coal Creek March from Eli Smith inspired by the renditions of Pete Steele and Roscoe Holcomb. A lot of history behind this tune, as it was written in memoriam of the hundreds of laborers who were killed in a mining explosion out in Tennessee circa. 1902. Always has been one of my favorite songs to play, hope you enjoy it

Great playing and great tone on that banjo (helped no doubt by that beautiful Oettinger tailpiece)...
Great tune and playing! Is that a capo on your 5th string - what kind? Tuning and strings? I'm a guitarist who has just taken up banjo.

Amazing
Nicely done man.
I liked the old name better.
Me too, but there was one too many syllables, haha. Years down the road, only the real ones will remember me as Addy&theBanjoDays 🙏🏻
I don't really care what the channel is called as long as Addy keeps bringing the sweet sweet tunes!
The banjo days just made it sound like a thing you were going thru in life. Idk to me it just made it more real.
