Nick is the greatest that ever entered the ring. I thought that I was the only one that felt that way, but from the other comments, I see that many people feel the same way. I've always wanted to meet him. He is so cool.
I got his autograph when I was young, and I was scared to walk up to him, my Father said, go ahead you may be surprised, and Nick was the nicest guy you'd ever want to talk too. He was really nice to me, and chatted with my Dad for a few minutes, He was the best Champion and pure class. So much nicer than some of the other Wrestlers I saw that night.
Nick was THE best--period. And, this is coming from a longtime fan (over 45 years) who grew up on Southern wrestling in the '60's-'70's-'80's. A master in the ring, & on the mic. True class. His matches w/ Jerry Lawler in Memphis in the '70's-'80's were true classic matchups. Thanks much for this interview.
utterly delightful to view this interview with one of the classiest classiic, old school wrestlers. i always admired him and enjoyed his showmanship. even as a heel, he wasn't a goon or a thug. why is it that younger wrestlers today seem to equate being a heel with being weird, a goon, or a thug?
Without a doubt one of the most complete wrestlers ever. And one of the greatest ever on the mic. "You cretinous humanoids suffering from cranial-anal impaction." LMAO.
Who else is surprised at Nick balkwickle came out in one piece? I would have thought every bone in his would be broken he'd be limping and he would be incoherent but the opposite is true
Ric Flair was over the top, and he did what he did superbly, but the best World Champion that I ever saw in my 28 years of being a fan, was Nick Bockwinkel. One thing Ole Anderson said was right, you see one Flair match, you have seen them all. But Nick, he would bump, his offense was believable. He would have you on the edge of your seat thinking, the face is gonna do it, he's gonna win the belt. Nope, Nick kicks out at 2 and 3/4ths, LOL!
Thankx so much for this, Nick was and is one of my favorite workers and personalities of all time. He is a true class act in a classless business.

GOD bless Nick,RIP.
Nick is one of the best ever, and a real class act. I could listen to him talk about wrestling all day

Even today, many years after he retired, Nick is still a class act.

That is a great compliment to a great champion. He is a true legend
this was cool, where is the second part?

Nick Bockwinkle was/is awesome
40 years for me, and I preferred southern wrestling as well, but Nick portrayed the World Champion better than anyone.
he is so articulate

How many wrestlers today would use the word "matriculate"?
He stole that word from Hank Stram
