Keep going mate I started at 41... was in 7K debt and living in my overdraft. I'm now debt free have a 15K emergency fund. 20K saving pot and just surpassed ~$100K. My portfolio is roughly ETFs, REITs, and stocks... I am almost 43 now!
I live off dividends on ETFs, for sure it can improve your wealth if you reinvest them to buy more shares, creating a snowball effect that allows your investments to compound over time. It's one of the most passive and effective ways to build an income stream. well managed steady growth for me.
Ethel have you considered the possibility of cashing out some of those dividends for paying off your monthly expenses, instead of re-investing them? Bcos I need a lot as rent, inflation alone eat up almost all of what I make.
tbh I keep compounding, adhering to well established patterns from a professional, even as a rookie, can bring tremendous value! I’ve trimmed, added also and now my average growth has increased 88% in the past year while participating behind a top performer. effectively remits over 100k annually and increasing.
What are your thoughts on moving from individual stocks to ETF? That would mean selling and taking a loss on some stocks I want a balanced portfolio, with growth investments, safe investments, and also a focus on dividends

@-Fredrickyes, and schd is only available in US, so your probided suggestion is not useful since this channel is about EU. While VOO and QQQ growth etfs have some alternatives in EU, schd do not have anything close to it. Either you pay ridiculous 0.39 etf fee with lower div yield than original schd etf or you go on single dividend paying stocks and try to mimick it yourself.
Accumulating ETFs outperform distributing so much if your country makes you to pay taxes on dividends. For example, i live in Spain and I have to pay 20% taxes on dividends. In the long run, thats a huge difference.
Isn't it the same? You're paying 20% on any gain both if you get 100$ out (with dividends) or 100000$ out (all at once, no dividends). Am I missing something?
This is by far the best video on UA-cam, everything else is about US or India. I have noted all the Tickers from your description and will research each of them slowly. Thanks very much.

I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day invt decisions being guided by a invt-coach, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using a invt-coach for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million
Can we invest directly into Index fund/stock S&P500 in EU? I have found that it is possible in the US (with a very low fee), but haven’t found any options in EU. 🤔 Or if I put in diferently, where can we invest to get the most for our money? Without any large fees, which eat your money each year. I would like my money to grow automaticly.

What is your opinion on Vanguard VWCE? As it's the only FTSE All-World ETF available for purchase in euros, being based in Germany and considering I reside in Europe with euros, do you believe it's the optimal choice? Alternatively, could there be a better option available from Invesco? Maybe iShares like IWDE could be an option
This is my issue. I know I want an Irish domiciled global ETF and VWCE has popped up amongst many others when I’ve researched. I don’t think there’s much between them all, but, I’d like to narrow it down to a shortlist of two or three to choose from. Which did you go with?

For passive investing, most experts recommend making regular investments without trying to guess the right moments or price points (which generally doesn't work)
What factors should I consider to determine the optimal stock exchange for investing in the Vanguard S&P 500 UCITS ETF (VUSA) from North Macedonia-between options like Amsterdam, Italy, and Germany

“Best ETF” is like saying which finger is best to have amputated. Avoid ETFs and buy a passive accumulation index fund run by a company that doesn’t have share holders , doesn’t sponsor sports, and whose fees are less than 0.24%.

If I invest for example 100 EUR monthly in european based S&P 500 ETF through Interactive brokers comission is 3 EUR which is 3%. Are there any better broker solution for european investors? I mean secure brokers companies or fintecs.
The best broker depends on your preferences - I did a video about this here: ua-cam.com/video/hgfLp4EMqN0/v-deo.html
I can invest in US ETFs. However, their dividends are subject to withholding tax. I'd like to find equivalents to e. g. SCHD or SVOL, which are domiciled in a jurisdiction that doesn't charge withholding tax and are synthetically replicating. I couldn't find that on justETF though. Any idea anyone where to find it?
Great video Tom. Do we have to pay tax on dividends in Spain?

Hey! Thanks for the video!

How can we invest in Slovenia?
Slovenia is fantastic for investing! With the right setup, investors can pay very little tax over the long term. And ETF investing works great. If you don't know how to get started, come to my webinar (go.indexmasterclass.com) - see you!
I am a very new on this. I live in Cyprus (europe) and I am planning to invest on VUAA (acc) for a retire plan. (I am 32 years old). Do you recommend any other -European- ETF?
Also, do you recommend revolut instead of any other broker because of its simplicity?

“Best ETF” is like saying which finger is best to have amputated. Avoid ETFs and buy a passive accumulation index fund run by a company that doesn’t have share holders , doesn’t sponsor sports, and whose fees are less than 0.24%.
From what broker do you buy shares in thqt index
@@stareatthesun7286 No brokerage I am aware off.
Hey Tom, I'm an Australian citizen living in Europe, (we live part time between Hungary and Greece), I earn a modest living online working free-lance, but I do not "work" in neither of the European countries where I reside. Where do you reckon I should invest? Thanks in advance for any pointers.

I’d like to kindly address that when referring to America I noted that it means the whole continent but in the video when referring to America it only displays the map of North America. Enjoying watching your videos, thanks for sharing!

30% tax on dividends in belgium and switserland.
But from what I understand in Switzerland there are no taxes on capital gains. Can you confirm? If true why is no one taking about this?
@@JohnDoe-oc1ms Yes. In Belgium and Switzerland there is no tax on capital gain. The stock has to be kept for a certain amount of time else its seen as trading not investing.
