Great video, but the webinar is a bit stringly timed. Would be great if you could make it more flexible.
Buying etfss is easy, but buying the right etfs without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $260K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies... I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
The market is volatile at this time, hence i will suggest you get yourself a financial-advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the shares/ETF you focus on
I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day invt decisions being guided by a invt-coach, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using a invt-coach for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million
that's heavy! keep it up, I could really use the expertise of these advisrs, my port-folio has been down bad....whose the person guiding you
As an English-native living in Germany, I am very happy to find a video in English which is clear and well spoken.
9:28 Andrew you can Save, Spend, Invest and Earn up to 5X investment returns (ROI), also get fast access to Personal and Business Loans (physical collateral not required for loan up to $50k) all on one platform.
Thanks a lot, Tom! The video was very precise and to the point. I am looking into other videos, on how to find the best ETF being a digital nomad in Spain.
FINALLY a non-American centric take on ETFs!!! Thank you! The US is not the entire world after all. 🙄
Financially, yes
Of course it is not ,it is just 90%
@@CUNDUNDOso it’s almost 😂
I am impressed. Excellent didactic. Please, keep making videos like this.
What are your thoughts on moving from individual stocks to ETF? That would mean selling and taking a loss on some stocks I want a balanced portfolio, with growth investments, safe investments, and also a focus on dividends
Thanks for the information I just discovered his exceptional resume when I made a google research of his full names online. he appears knowledgeable and well accredited I drop him a message and book a call session with him!
I think the easiest and best way is to go with SCHD - it's a dividend growth ETF that checks a ton of boxes. There's so many ways to invest for income, but in my opinion SCHD is simple and effective.
@@-Fredrickyes, and schd is only available in US, so your probided suggestion is not useful since this channel is about EU. While VOO and QQQ growth etfs have some alternatives in EU, schd do not have anything close to it. Either you pay ridiculous 0.39 etf fee with lower div yield than original schd etf or you go on single dividend paying stocks and try to mimick it yourself.
thanks for this great info!
Excellent video!!!
What is your opinion on Vanguard VWCE? As it's the only FTSE All-World ETF available for purchase in euros, being based in Germany and considering I reside in Europe with euros, do you believe it's the optimal choice? Alternatively, could there be a better option available from Invesco? Maybe iShares like IWDE could be an option

Hi Tom, thanks so much for the great video!! Just a short question: is Austria an easy country to invest in Europe, or rather complex? Thanks!

What factors should I consider to determine the optimal stock exchange for investing in the Vanguard S&P 500 UCITS ETF (VUSA) from North Macedonia-between options like Amsterdam, Italy, and Germany
Off topic, sorry. What mic do you use? Thank you!
Do you have the european codes(the ones i can buy in €) for these VOO, QQQM, SCHG, SCHD, VYM, VUG, VTI?
Hi Tom, I am an American expat living in Holland. Can you give me some tips on where to start? I"m 10 years from when I want to retire. Would or should I look only in Europe or both Europe and America?
First time when I see a really good trader on youtube. Thank's for the videos)
Hello Tom, thanks for this amazing video.
I'm also in the UK and I would like to invest in the S&P 500 Index Fund. I have opened a Charles Schwab account but I don't see the option for Mutual Funds. I do have access to Stocks & ETFs, Schwab Stock Slices and Bonds but not the Schwab S&P 500 Index Fund. The customer service agent told me that international accounts are restricted from trading mutual funds with US. So, I hope you can help me. I would like to know what would be the S&P 500 Index Fund for the UK equivalent or similar. Thank you in advance for your help.
Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
Hi. I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second child. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks

Great work Tom. If i live in Germany and i invest monthly till 65 years and then i want to withdraw my money from S&P 500 is there any chance to pay taxes less than 25% ? I need to mention that i also work in Germany and pay taxes from my salary. Thanks a lot!

Hi, thank you for the amazing video! How do I buy etfs from Greece.

Accumulating ETFs outperform distributing so much if your country makes you to pay taxes on dividends. For example, i live in Spain and I have to pay 20% taxes on dividends. In the long run, thats a huge difference.
Isn't it the same? You're paying 20% on any gain both if you get 100$ out (with dividends) or 100000$ out (all at once, no dividends). Am I missing something?
@@geroloriYou have to take in account compound interest.
Well in German,we have the so called Vorabpauschale which makes you pay taxes every year, even If you sell nothing
Can we invest directly into Index fund/stock S&P500 in EU? I have found that it is possible in the US (with a very low fee), but haven’t found any options in EU. 🤔
Or if I put in diferently, where can we invest to get the most for our money? Without any large fees, which eat your money each year.
I would like my money to grow automaticly.
Yes, it's absolutely doable, and I train people on this topic all the time. Next Thursday I'm doing a webinar on this - if you're interested, you can sign up at go.indexmasterclass.com!
Great video Tom. Do we have to pay tax on dividends in Spain?
yes we do so better pick accumulative
I can invest in US ETFs. However, their dividends are subject to withholding tax. I'd like to find equivalents to e. g. SCHD or SVOL, which are domiciled in a jurisdiction that doesn't charge withholding tax and are synthetically replicating. I couldn't find that on justETF though. Any idea anyone where to find it?
great video. thanks a lot.
Great video thanks! I invested in US Dollar ETFs was this a mistake? Shall I switch from now on?
First of all, thank a bunch for your great video,
I have a question, how can a resident in Sweden invest in ETF in Europe with a Swedish krona?
There are various options - a lot of Swedes use index mutual funds denominated in SEK instead of ETFs, but others might do a currency exchange and buy ETFs in USD or EUR (it is important to watch out for currency exchange fees, though, which can be high).
Hi, if you have an accumulating ETF and don’t plan to buy out for decades, am I right in thinking that you only pay tax when you eventually buy out ?
depends on the country
I live in Bulgaria and we use BGN not euro yet. Should I stick with BGN or euro for currency fees exchange ?.

Hey, good video. Do you know how I can invest in Money market funds here in Europe? I am having a hard time to find the platform that offers such product
In Europe usually your bank account and/or bank term deposit is your best bet for short term investments. But you can find some money market ETFs on JustETF.
How can I filter those ETFs that have the KIID document in a language of my EU country?
Another question is will the ETF providers bother translating them for small countries?
is their a possibility to record the webinar, because i can not join it at that hour.

I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation.
What if I want to go away from ETFs that replicate US ETFs?
To be more specific an Irish ETF that is in any way exposed to US market. Do I have any options?
Hey, could you please do a video on taxes and etfs in Ireland?
Hi! I usually don't go into country-specific detail on my channel - I cover that in my training courses. One quick takeaway is that Ireland's tax situation is not the friendliest toward index and ETF investors so it's great if you can invest through a pension wrapper where the tax issue is removed. But investing in ETFs directly is also possible!
hello, would you recomend Revolut for buying etfs and stocks?
The trust level has plummeted when you mentioned « clean energy » etf
Revolut now provides the ability to invest in etfs. Tom. What do you think of the platform? In terms of safety and fees or other? Thanks
They have high custody fees, which is my least favorite type of fee because it grows with your account size.
@@thetomcrosshill ah I didn't know. Thanks! How about Mintos?
Please can I buy one etf with another etf, example I have a saving plan for vanguard s&p500, can I use my investment in the vanguard s&p to buy another etf without first selling the vanguard etf.
No, you sell one to buy the other. What you describe can sometimes be possible with index mutual funds.
In Switzerland my understanding is no taxes on capital gains (if investment time is over 6 months). Can anyone confirm? Thanks
I'm not a Swiss tax expert, but my understanding is generally that it's a bit more complicated - cap gains are tax free for most people, but not tax free if you are considered a professional investor - and there one of several criteria is the holding time for your investments (the 6 month limit). So if in doubt, one should always consult a tax advisor.
Dividends are taxed, un both accumulated and distributing

When you say Europe do you include England pls ?
Good Dividend ETFs, please ?
This is a sales pitch, ETF investing is actually the easiest thing ever. The key point is taxes are unavoidable, dont think too much on them. Focus on maximizing your returns, not minimizing cost.
When getting started with investing in ETF's how do you decide the best entry points? It seems this topic never comes up. Isn't it the same concept as stocks?
For passive investing, most experts recommend making regular investments without trying to guess the right moments or price points (which generally doesn't work)
Do you also recommend books to read on investing? thank you
Try The Little Book of Common Sense Investing by John C. Bogle. And a Random Walk Down Wall Street by Burton Malkiel!
@@thetomcrosshill Thank you! ❤
FYI : I hear FLow Traders is the only market maker for Crypto ETF's in Europe as others got shy in 2022. Hence Flow had a unexpected 40 million extra gain in 2024 Q1. Crazy !

Is it ok to invest only in VWCE?

Which app is for option trading in Europe index ?
Hi from Dublin, awesome video. This reminds me of how I made my first million, I invested a lump sum in trading stocks with the help of an excellent broker who trades for me.
How much do you invest?
Any thoughts about crypto currency’s specially Bitcoin?
Buying crypto to make money is speculation (buy low, sell high, try to guess the winning coin), so it's not really my area and I'm not a big fan. I focus on long term investing (buy and hold investments which create economic value).
