True. They are eating a very thin layer/skin on top of the water which is full of bacteria and stuff. It would be nice from DailyDose to actually do some research before spreading wrong info.

Was honestly expecting to talk about these things called bristleworms*- they leave teeny tiny spines into your skin that hurt like crazy, and you can't do anything except wait for your skin to push it out over time. Truly terrifying! Edit: Bristleworms, not glassworms!
@@ML7WL Oh I just realised I got the name wrong. I'm talking about bristleworms, especially the fireworm! If you wanna know about what their spines do in your body, you can search up bristleworm stings. These worms are really cool. They are part of the Phylum Nemertea (ribbons worms). This proboscis structure lies in the rhyncocoel, which is essentially a sack for the proboscis. The proboscis is used to catch prey. It really depends on the class of the species. You have anopla and enopla. Enopla has a calcanea spicule on the end of the proboscis which is used to inject venom, while anopla have the toxins secreted from the proboscis.

So that snail is actually something people often call a pond snail or even a bladder snail. I have several in my fish tank. They can make themselves buoyant and like to take rides on the currents. In the wild, this is a great tactic for a quick escape from predators and a way for them to travel down currents to find new food and unrelated snails. In fish tanks, they use it to do goofy things like swirl around the current and try to eat algae floating on the surface of the water. They're very fun to watch.
Physella, they’ve been somewhat of a pest in my shrimp tank since they came in on some stupid floating plants I bought that I eventually had to meticulously remove. One day I may get a couple assassin snails
@@fungdark8270 Assassin snails do a great job at keeping the population under control. I actually have a few in my tank. I never see them since they're nocturnal, but I can tell when they've been doing their job. The empty shells are evidence enough of that. I've only got 3 assassin snails at this point and they are very slow to reproduce. I've had a lot of issues with filters getting clogged by snails and the footprint they have on my tank (literally and more metaphorically), but I actually like having my little pest snails around. They clean up dead plant matter pretty well and are a fantastic indicator species for whatever might be going on in my tank. Not to mention, they get up to some crazy shenanigans.

Now that I've seen a bear wave at humans so casually, I'm starting to question if he was being friendly or just trying to lure them in
bears have almost never hurt anyone. way more people die from dogs, from being struck by lightning, than from bears. like WAY more
bears don't actively hunt humans so it's probably just mimicking other humans and trying to get food.
