Andrew Wood (the lead singer of Mother Love Bone) inspired that slip up, just like he inspired Outshined off of this album, Would from Alice In Chains, Far Behind by Candlebox, Mr Lovedog by Faster Pussycat, and every song on the Temple of the Dog album.
Keep up the good content the reviews are great entertainment for my long hours at the oil rig I’m work 4 weeks straight 12/-14 hour shifts shits mad entertanging
Love the Album of the Week series, keep them coming! But one tiny correction, Rusty Cage is a Soundgarden song, Cash did a cover when he collaborated with Rick Rubin just before he died and released an album full of covers in his style.
Badmotorfinger is their BEST album. Jesus Christ Pose is my ultimate favourite music video. New Damage is a hell of a closer. Every song is crushing. This is my favourite lineup too - Kim, Chris, Matt & Ben. Lots of great B sides for all the singles from this album too, plus the limited edition Somms Ep! Coco knows!
Hell yea, I found their CD in my parent's disc collection when I was a kid and was hooked to their songs ever since (especially Jesus Christ Pose and Rusty Cage)! They have such a unique sound that I think was only matched by the likes of Tool and Deftones, each in their own respect.
Badmotorfinger is a bad mf boy. The vocals on that album is like a wailing Harlet on a fire covered chariot, descending from the heavens above. My personal favorite is down on the upside. Love the melancholy like vibe they deliver with that album
Cornell played Gretsch guitars. I just got a $600 one yesterday. I've never seen craftsmanship this precise on a guitar. I'm in love. Soundgarden is my favorite band.
All those albums u showed from the early 90s were the BEST!!! I know I'm showing my age but the 90s were the BEST music ever !!! RHCP,,,Soundgarden,,Nirvana ,, Rollins Band ,,, Beastie Boys ,, Pearl Jam ,,STP ,,Ice Tea and Cube ,,, Ministry ,, Janes Addiction,,,,Plus many more the 90s Rocked for me !!! I had the long hair grunge look going on and met my wife n got married in 93 and we just hit 30yrs!!! 90s Music Ruled!!!
the first 5 mins of joey comparing all the grunge albums together made me realize: i was one lucky sonfabitch to be in high school at that time. many many hours listening to those albums, but after all these years i stopped listening to most of them. except for badmotorfinger, i still rock out to that one.
I travelled down from Glasgow Scotland to see Soundgarden and Faith No More open for Guns n’ Roses in the summer of 92’ as a wee 17 year old rocker! How’s that for a line up!!! It was about 100 degrees with the sun splitting the concrete. The things we seen at that gig. Ooooooooft. 😁👀🤘
Hey Joey thank you for being who you are. Thank you for helping me through one of the hardest stages of life. I’m an artist I love to make music and I hope I make it in time to meet you and be good friends. You seriously don’t know the meaning of your existence just because you wouldn’t ever know how many lives you’ve impacted with your comedy and your perspective on life. we all fuck up but most importantly you embraced those fuck ups and today I know you can say it was all worth it. I wish you the best your future friend -Lucas Nevermore
This is why I always chimed with you, Joey, your love of Soundgarden. I can remember sitting in on a few impromtu live streams, going deep, and you'd have 'Down on the Upside' - Tighter and Tighter on......like a fuckin' savage. This is this and that's that...Chris Cornell was the greatest whoever addressed a mic. Don't even worry about it.
Great idea, Joey you have beautiful music taste. Greatings from Poland. Ps. Great video editing, love that you choose to have vinyls for review, physical form have special feeling.
Man outshined is one of my top 5 for Soundgarden. Deff a great album and one that helped me through alot of crazyness. Just got back into Soundgarden lately too. Still pist I didnt get to see them after they got back together. R.I.P Chris Cornell.
saw soundgarden two nights in a row opening for guns n' roses. they sounded really ragged yet the tightness song they did was j christ pose, the most ragged loose song on the album
I’ll always maintain that Soundgarden and AIC were always more metal than grunge. They toured the metal shows like Clash of the Titans before grunge broke.
Badmotorfinger is indeed a perfect album! Superunknown is even better in my opinion, but damn…the 90s produced some of the most badass albums of all time!
*Joey Diaz Podcast:* "man, i gotta tell them about this fukkin' record. I'm psyched!" *Bill Burr Podcast:* "Aawww Geezzush, I hope Nia lets me talk about AC/DC again"
Love you Joey!! You literally listen to the same music I do, your jar of flies video was great. Rusty cage was actually a Soundgarden original and Johnny cash covered it, I thought it was a Jonny original also because he covered it so well
One of the best albums ever. Joey you should do the B-52s first album you turned me onto it talking about It in an interview and it’s such a fuggin banger thank you
Abolsutely love these joeys been a fan of the church for a while always wanted to know what music was taking you deep into Murky waters. Stay blessed cocksucka
"Hit the nail on the head" "hit the nail into tha wood" same shit 😂😂
Andrew Wood (the lead singer of Mother Love Bone) inspired that slip up, just like he inspired Outshined off of this album, Would from Alice In Chains, Far Behind by Candlebox, Mr Lovedog by Faster Pussycat, and every song on the Temple of the Dog album.
This is such a sick segment! Always been a fan of Joey’s music taste
Keep up the good content the reviews are great entertainment for my long hours at the oil rig I’m work 4 weeks straight 12/-14 hour shifts shits mad entertanging
@@fuegodew7323what kinda work you do? Oil rig, mining? Just wondering. I got a buddy who works roughly the same type of shifts in the mines
@@fuegodew7323 oh shit I see you said oil rig. My bad man, I read to fast sometimes
exactly this is ixactly the content i want from this absolute legend of a man
Amazing album, stone cold classic. Rusty Cage is a Soundgarden original though, Johnny Cash covered it.
I was pretty sure Joey got that wrong. Suprised no one else around him knew.
True.
Hell yeah!! Chris Cornell my all time favorite singer!! Awesome album !! I had it back when I was senior in high school!! Thanks Joey D
Soundgarden is my moms favorite band, I got the honor of seeing them once in Oakland at the Fox and once in SF at the Bill Graham 🩷
Most important album of my life, changed everything, masterpiece
Take a look at all the great albums that came out in 1991. Tremendous! BMF is a must have.
Love the Album of the Week series, keep them coming!
But one tiny correction, Rusty Cage is a Soundgarden song, Cash did a cover when he collaborated with Rick Rubin just before he died and released an album full of covers in his style.
Holy water & slaves n bulldozers are my favorite tracks.
Coco knows!

This is my top album of all time. I’ve listened to it over 200 times
I’m 52 & this is STILL my favorite record of any genre….its just sooooo fuckin good!!!! 🖤🤤
"If you don't have Bad motorfinger, go fk yourself!" .... no one could've said it better, Joey is the man!
This album is Chris Cornell's most amazing vocal performance. He was in the peak of his range and power!
Savage album, I thought Johnny Cash covered Rusty Cage 5 years after BMF came out.
I'm presuming that's what Joey meant, that Johnny Cash covered it.
Got lifted for "Larceny with a twist" for this record in HMV back in the day.....
Just bought this a couple months back, great top to bottom
I could listen to Outshined and Slaves And Bulldozers every day and they still hold up as kick ass songs.
This and PJ10 were the soundtracks to my high school years and I graduated in ‘06, well after their debut/release. I’m old AF now. Still sounds good.
You're like 30something lol relax "old man"
This is one of my top 3 albums
Killer record, gonna go listen to it now, cheers Joey.
Rust cage is an original soundgarden song Joey! Johnny Cash covered them :)
This is why we Love Uncle Joey, He makes us laugh while playing good music , and if that don't work, he will get you high AF
Hey Joey, Rusty Cage was actually originally written by Soundgarden. It is not a Johnny Cash song, he just covered it.
23 and me and uncle Joey love the same music,👍👍
One of my favorite albums 🤘🎸😎
Badmotorfinger is a bad mf boy. The vocals on that album is like a wailing Harlet on a fire covered chariot, descending from the heavens above. My personal favorite is down on the upside. Love the melancholy like vibe they deliver with that album
I love your reverence for good music, your taste is so damn fantastic.
Definitely in my top ten album's , keep em coming you bad mother .....
Cornell played Gretsch guitars. I just got a $600 one yesterday. I've never seen craftsmanship this precise on a guitar. I'm in love. Soundgarden is my favorite band.

Ooooooooft. 😁👀🤘
