It's true that those who know the original song know that it turned it into a soul ballad that only real talent can turn into. Her voice reminds me of such big voices. To my mind, she took a regular, simplistic song and turned it into a masterpiece. Pure pure emotion. It's genius that it's hard to understand how one can turn a song like that into something that is so classy. But maybe it's just that I understand this performance.
