It's not a coincidence that you only hear reality stars complain about editing... I don't think actors, tv show hosts and docuseries people complain about editing at all :) just saying... her ''convenience'' explanation does not make sense

They aren't scripted, but there's a storyline and it's edited to make sure it fits into said storyline. The stars are coached through segments too. In other words, there is a script.

Of course it's not scripted like a movie or a TV show with regular lines/actors. But they definately set things up and tell these people what say/do/embellish and stir the pot. So it's scripted in that way, for money of course.

The situations between the people who appear on the shows may not be scripted, but they are certainly set up a certain way to ensure ratings. Come on Mona, all of us aren't blinded by the okey doke😂🤣.

To Echo what everyone else is saying, and as somebody who took a class about reality TV shows in college, reality shows aren't scripted necessarily the way that a feature-length film or the like is scripted, but lots of stuff is planned ahead of time. Stuff is added it out of context. Producers tell the cast members to say or do certain things. Lies are told about the cast members backgrounds. Stuff is filmed over and over again until it produces are satisfied. so even if they weren't given a script to learn and rehearse ahead of time, there is still plenty about reality shows that has nothing to do with reality at all.
