Sounds great! I would love to see your finished product. I don't do bean paste sugar flowers but I have to say I have been wanting to try, hopefully soon I may be able.
I have found that putting the hot glue on the wires first it does not melt the foam as much. 1. Push the wire bunch into the foam and pull it out to make the hole. 2. Put the glue on the bunch of wires and lightly blow on it. 3. Count to 3 and put the glue end of wires into the hole you made in step 1. You will find this lowers the temperature of the glue just enough that it will not melt the styrofoam as bad.
I obtained the flexible blades from my local craft store. It is part of the Sculpey brand “Polyform Sculpey Super Slicer” set, which one can also buy on Amazon.com . Hope this helps.
