- The show depicts the aftermath of an apocalyptic nuclear exchange in an alternate history where advances in nuclear technology after WWII led to the emergence of a retrofuturistic society and a subsequent resource war. 60 year old woman who's played Fallout since 1997, I am so hyped/scared for this. It looks like they got the feel, the aesthetic of the games down, I'm just worried about some of the lore getting tossed/ruined (ahem, NCR, ahem), but I'm going to wait until I see it before I judge. It does look gorgeous, though - I mean, in a Fallout way.
62 yr old guy here who has loved Fallout, FO2, FO3, FO:NV and FO4. Lore is the one thing I am most concerned about, as Shady Sands is supposed to be the capitol of the NCR. I mean it is possible some faction nuked Shady Sands in the years since we last heard about them and the NCR has fallen into ruins. As you say, let's wait and see.

The vault dweller being a girl kinda throws me off a little.......just being biased since i played the games as the guy chacter..but I'll still watch it.
what do you mean by "all the games have had a male lead"? most if not all fallout games allow you to choose between male or female characters. not sure about the original fallout. or maybe i'm misinterpreting your definition of "lead".
@@TheBlackSunNo Ugh...did you watch the trailer properly? The story is clearly being told from the perspective of three characters equally as important! The vault dweller, the cowboy ghoul and the BoS member! They are doing the GTAV thing, where it had Michael, Trevor and Franklin! Were any of those three particular GTAV characters less important for the story of the game than the other? No...same thing here...this is being negative just for the sake of it...just plain annoying! Find something better to complain about, than trivial nonsense like this...
