Hey guys, about what I mentioned at 12:37, do you think it's possible for toy brands getting the right amount of hair in the near future? Feel free to share some of your thought!
It was shown 10 years ago as a one-off custom with the dx12 body and bank robber head. Before anyone says they stole this idea from the cosplayer 😂 and they will both be the same sculpt, but 2 different paint app I've been told. No knife with this or hand to hold it 😂 when this joker is known for that? Missing the tongue the USB light up base and everything else we are getting with the 1st artisan joker coming. In my mind this should have been arpund 390 to 415 usd. But thats just me. I'll be using the sculpt for my custom nurse joker or on a bank robber joker body.
Thanks for the great and thorough review! It's a shame the "paint" details on the suit are just printed since that is going to give the figure a much different texture than would be expected, but on the plus side, I'm glad the head sculpt lives up to expectations! Looking forward to your review of the purple coat version soon!
This looks much better than the promo pictures for the Artisan version. As an owner of the Inart (rooted) Joker, I think this portrait looks better, I also think this looks more like Heath than the JND prototype. It's that good.
I said the same thing lol. Those promo pics made the sculpt look pretty mediocre. The result is far better than the photos. I also own the InArt rooted but I'm not going to go out of my way to upgrade. Hot Toys face sculpt looks more accurate but I like InArt's hair, accessories, and diarama.
@@91PulpBoth the Inart figures are more than good enough. They look so much better in hand, especially if you loosen the stranding. The purple coat sculpt looks like he's just applied his makeup, whereas this looks more like it's taken later in the film. The expression reminds me of when he throws his head back in agitation just as he exits the overturned truck and when he says "hit me".
I'm glad you touched on the rooting not being truly accurate to Heath Ledger. It's something that will get overlooked on these releases because the face sculpt is so damn good. I think I'll hold on to my InArt Jokers until someone makes the perfect Joker.

This figure is so stupid but I actually like it haha. The sculpt is so good and the hair turned out great, completely right though it's still too thick lol, he did not have much hair, both InArt and Hot Toys made it too thick. Funny that InArt's first ever figure and Hot Toys first ever Artisan were Jokers lol.
Dude. This beats InArt’s and I love my InArt Joker. I got to get my hands on this head sculpt. I kind of wish his hair got a little more green towards the end, and I can see what people are saying about the hairline. I’d say hair is a solid 9.7 out of 10. Sculpt 10000/10
I don't know about the headsculpt. Many things seems wrong, or at least not quite accurate to the logic of the movie and to the actor. The hairline isn't the right shape. It's too round, it should be thinner, a bit longer. The paint is great... But the black around the eyes freaks me out. A logical thing would've been to have skin color poking through the make up where wrinkles of expression and sweat would've had an impact. Yet here, it's clearly black on white... That's not how it would work. Same, the forehead is too consistently marked, just as many other parts like around the right side scar. It's mostly just a straight line with no imperfections. It should've been more messy. The sculpt of the right side scar by the way, the sculpt is trash. It may seems rude, but it is. Because it may be the only thing they didn't improve from the Dx11. And it was already trash back then. It doesn't look like something that has been carved into his skin and that would've had poorly scarred. It looks like something glued over his cheek, two edges over his skin. And the paint doesn't help it at all. Too clean at this specific spot (it is on the other side too, but the shape of the scar help avoiding this "flaw") The overall likeness... I think is far better than their previous ones, even better than the JND one, but it doesn't scream Heath Ledger to me. I think the hairline and the expression, and even maybe the shape of the nose, throw it off quite considerably. It's a very great headsculpt, it's just not Heath Ledger to me. And let's consider this headsculpt as the same one as the future DX.... Well, you'll have a great improvement over Dx11, and a great alternative to the current best one (current best one that only has one "flaw"... Which can be easily corrected by just moving its orientation) for people who don't have the money or who couldn't get it at the time. Heck, if everyone's happy, that's what's important
