The bench did very well in the fourth quarter. They caught up a lot that was lost by the starters. If Kerr didn't let the starters to come back to the court in the last couple of minutes, maybe Warriers' bench could have won the game.

Well hindsight 20-20 but doing so is a gamble. You can't really risk that especially in a game where its potential to close out the series at 4-0.

I just love the way the play when they have their shots falling.. such intensity on defense coming from their offense. Glad they survived to have another exciting game! Not a Mavs fan, but obviously rooting for the comeback :)

Kind of, but that's oversimplification. They went with the bench players to rest up the starters to be ready for the final minutes. It backfires

GSW is overall a better team with depth and experience but I would want to see game 5 going in the way of Mavs just to spice things up. I don't think GSW would blow this lead but I want this series to extend (Mavs fan)
Well yes GSW is very good, but let me remind you that Dallas lead in game 2 by 19 and then lost, so in my opinion they didn't deserve a sweep. Overall the last three games were terrible for Dallas by their inability to score. If that changed now and Dallas continues to deliver, GSW might be in big trouble
@@gamb61 Mavs lacking the depth (bench and scoring capacity) compared to gsw. Without injuries it would be incredible for them to comeback in this series. If mavs can score 3pt and defend like this game then we would have an amazing series with competition. So i agree :)

This series loss is not on Doncic, GS has too much depth and quality compared to Dallas. Bullock and Kleber not making wide open shots in game 3 killed the series.

Mavs strategy - Played like nothing to lose
The 4th quarter run just tells you how bad this Mavericks roster is, Mavericks' starters beside Luka are some of the best bench players in the league, and Mavericks' bench players are pretty much unplayable in the playoff.
You just don’t win against the Suns like that… It’s not that bad.

@Simon L I think you are 100% right. The reason the rest of the starters are geting ok field % is thanks to Luka getting doubleteamed and still getting good passes out so the others get open shots. Very few open shots created by others than Luka.

I still remember Popovich complaining how the game is ruined. You look at the stats but the only stat worth looking is 3pt shot, Dallas shot 20-43, its almost impossible to lose with that stat.

It was obvious already with Jazz and Suns that Mavs can beat the best teams by 20-30pts but unfortunately they are so inconsistent and now it's too late after losing that easy 2nd game.
It´s all about the 3 point shot. If the open 3s are falling, the Mavs are very hard to beat. I really hope they win Game 5, but I think the Warriors will finish them. A close game would be cool tho.
