Great little project and demo. Tuning a PID is always a bit of a compromise. If the servo is always hunting around then it’s going to wear it out pretty quick.
Hi, I got the project in this video to work fairly well using your design. I then decided to rebuild it using more durable materials (wood mostly) and a bearing for the beam axel. I'm wondering, is the code you supply only likely to be functional with a design that is very close to the one in your video? Specifically, I'm referring to the connector rod from the servo to the bottom of the beam. In my new design, the rod is a slightly different orientation, and I'm having issues getting it to function smoothly (are those types of minor differences in position of servo, height of beam, etc. likely to make your code not work? I would imagine these variables are important in the code, but haven't dug through it yet as I wanted to get to a reliable test bed with my new design before refining it thanks a lot

Did you change the servo motor?

try running the servomotor first basic code and try with ultrasonic basic and then combine and see if it works
