Man your vids are bloody amazing. I would of wasted weeks months trying to work this out. Now I fully understand how to go about popping my ones open. Have a great weekend 👍
Fricken awesome dude! Nicely picked and I’m loving the split screen! Being able to see how a keyway is navigated and picks are maneuvered is super helpful.
Just found your channel searching for this lock as I have one in my collection and wasn't sure how to approach the sidebar/pins you've really cleared it up for me and I have more confidence to attack it now. I love your dual aspect view, this sets you aside from a lot of other pickers. Subscribed as soon as vid was finished, will now check out your back catalogue! Good job
Thank you sir! The combi is perhaps one of the toughest if not the toughest lock I have picked. The vertical serrations are killer if the fingerpins are not rotationally set early. Im glad it was helpful
Beautiful video shots inside lock and out front and nice close ups without focus problems -- professional quality presentation -- obviously you are an expert & know where the finger pins must be set rotationally. I notice your finger pin images are of Primus -- does ASSA use only 2 lift heights as well (in addition to +/- 20 degrees, of course)? Also, of course, not looking (yet) at Primus XP pin which is super short (3rd height), right hand, I believe, being the 7th pin type. Bo Widen is a genius & still reaping royalties from ASSA I believe.
Hey Ken! The Combi is the most challenging lock I have picked so far and I could not blind pick an ASSA combi at this point. I feel that I would need a handful of those locks to figure it out and unfortunately they are difficult to find here. The lift is the easy part the rotation is what makes this lock challenging. there are two lifts for each pin but they are not exactly the same height for each orientation so if you look at a key it will be confusing. I used the Primus images because ASSA does not publish them. You know your stuff sir! Be well
@@ArtichokeTwoThousand Ya, a blind pick without a tiny bit of prior knowledge very tough (and no key, of course). Where do you live - guessing somewhere in US as don't see much ASSA stuff where I'm at on West Coast. I did find & pick up a bunch of older NOS ASSA V10 stuff w/ parts, all gins.
How did you know the direction of the fingerpins? In another comment you said that its very hard to decode by locking at the key, how did you know? 😃 I have 5-6 of these but no keys so i wouldnt know where to begin.
@@ArtichokeTwoThousand Thats okay i will wait :) as thats the lock i am currently on so will love to see that. Hope your other projects go well and i can not wait to see whats lined up :)
One of the best videos made in lockpicking history 🙌 Amazing camera work, Amazing narration, and top notch lock ❤👌🏼🙏🏼

I like your explanation of barrel picking here. Actually got to watch it after not finding a "barrel picking tutorial" as you have for the gins :)
your site was recommended by helpful lock picker. Love the camera work you are doing amazing stuff with the split screen internal. Subscriber now.

I'm working on one of these now - super impressive and excellent video. Love the split screen.
Very cool setup adding the boroscope! Not to mention your top shelf picking skills - amazing work! ❤️
I love this setup! Great picking! That's a tough lock! One day I'll be able to pick one I hope.
Wow… just wow! Amazing video!!!
I enjoyed!, very good explanation!, good work!
Sweet camera setup! Though it looks kind of like a weird lock rectal exam.
Awesome, awesome job man. good stuff and i love the idea of the internal view. really cool.

Love the info that comes with it, lots of picking knowledge here!
whoa, awesome setup.

This explains why I had little success against these on the door! There's a sidebar.
Awesome video 👍🏻
