- The Frightened City was released in 1961, and was written by Norrie Paramor, which reached No3 in the charts, and was the main theme of the movie The Frightened City.
Starring Sean Connery, Herbert Lom. and John Gregson, a film about extortion rackets, and gang warfare in the west end of London.
Hope you enjoy my take on it, played on my Harley Benton ST-59 Guitar, fitted with Tonerider Pure Vintage Pickups, played on the bridge PU.
This is a live recording , no video editing .
Through my Zoom G3x , with The Shadows Full Monty Patches, patch C6.
connected to two Line 6 Spider amps in stereo.

Afternoon Dave, a very nostalgic look back of the early Shadows work, brings back memories of my teenage years… I think you played it very well with a nice sound, although it looked a bit tricky with those fast little runs in places… nevertheless I really enjoyed it Dave and I think you did a good job , until the next one my friend, I wish you well from a very soggy rainy day at Warsop….. Yes its not an easy one , I did struggle with the fast runs at the 12th, it wasn't perfect , but the best of many takes over a few days.
I'm struggling with arthritis in my neck and shoulders at the minute , dreading winter with the damp and cold , after half an hour sat playing it gets a bit much at times, have to keep taking the pills 😊
