As a master with a lvl 100 grailed Sanzang, this AMV makes me very happy! She spooked me on Skadi's NA banner before I even got to Camelot. Casters are always the most interesting servants. Sabers, Lancers, Archers, etc most of them boil down to be being really good at Swords, Spears, -insert weapon of choice here- but Casters are limited only by their knowledge and they have so much more variety. Anderson and Shakespeare weaponize words, Medea can stop time, Archer is technically a mage that summons swords, Cu Chulann is actually *stronger* as a Caster. I also appreciate how Fate justified Sanzang's outfit. Apparently her male followers picked it out for her and when she was "Really? Is is this *really* appropriate for a buddhist monk?" They said "Yes."
I'm a big fan of the assassin class. While most of them simply add "sneak" to their arsenal and are a little less efficient when it come to straight fights, many of them have actually a special kind of link with "killing" instead of "fighting". It make them quite varied in the way they approach their confrontation.

the irony is in the game she just a monk who talk about boudha all the time and nothing more but in the movie she was a really cool character with a real personality and was nice to see (even she kill my girl and die after that but it another thing)
Most of the Fate anime make their characters more interesting than their VN versions. It's practically tradition at this point. I think part of it is that the VNs/games have to cover *all* the characters, whereas the anime focus on a few specific, giving them a VA and more screentime to explore them as people.
@@thebighurt2495 i would say it's only for the fate grand order series cause even with bond lines max they not show much about the character like for minamoto who just a mom and thats it or for sanzang but in every other visual novel like the original one the anime don't do a good job for shirou for example for the fate extra the anime just take nero and break her character cause in the game she is really a interessing character but in the anime it's just a umu girl and thats it so in the movie they do a good job for sanzang and give the character FINALLY something more than just a monk so i would want to see on more charater from grand order

Since FGO has the pretender class, MAybe this is Wukong after all. i dont know what guild or mission hes on and now he copycat's Xuan Zhang's Appearance. MAybe this is just the Monkey King in a dress since no one in Chaldea knew how Zuan Zhang looks like.
I don’t think so. Fgo is known to incorporate other legends to their characters. Like for one, achilles and his spear, originally owned by Chiron. Another is calamity Jane and her np; space deadman’s hand, a part of wild bill Hickok’ legend. Astolfo’s np; hippogriff was originally bradamantes. The reason why xuangzang was able to do those abilities was most likely that she played an important roll to sun wukong’s legend. I’m pretty sure there’s more servants capable of utilizing abilities from other legends but that’s the few I can only name.

The issue is that Wukong's legend doesn't link to humans at all. So the human monk is still the core of the story that everything revolves. So it makes sense that it ends up Xuan Zhang became the Servant. Because a human made that journey even if the fantasy book didn't have him do very much. Without the human there is no monkey king.
